There was actually a dude that did switch hardflip 50-50 on Clipper last year for trick of the year. He ended up getting some money for it if I remember correctly, but not the main award obviously.
Brandon Turner is definitely an inspiration.

Man, I wish he did all his comeback shit and this in the same year. Would be a perfect SOTY candidate. Couple super gnarly rememberable tricks, good part, plus all the good guy stuff he's doing to help addicts and stuff. Really cool to see this second wind from him. He's like a cooler version of Neen that I actually like watching skate.

Brandon actually did this Switch Hardflip ride-on last year as well. He tried Switch Hardflipping Wallenberg, didn't make it that trip, and then they went to Clipper where he tried this. He was trying Switch Hardflip BS 50-50, but rode on the ledge instead and rolled away.

I guess he did not lock in immediately but only later on and had the decently not to claim a grind as it wasn‘t a full clean grind but sort of a switch hardflip to roll on grind lol.
