So there’s a couple kids asking for skateboards on the angel trees or whatever they’re called. Just wondering what the kids are riding size wise? 8” still the standard or has it bumped up? These are for 12-14yo kids no idea how tall weight whatever else. I’m old and out of touch but NO, they aren’t getting 9” shaped decks. What say you Slap?

defs go with the 8 or even 8.25

I'd say you're on the right track. Most of the little rippers (and even some older teens) I see around town are on 8 or 8.25. If it was me, I'd probably go with 8.25. You might be blind gifting to a kid who hit that early super puberty, and if you aren't, that extra quarter inch isn't gonna cause a huge issue.

Had a bunch of kids come into my shop today. They’ve become the local kids that stop in a couple times a week and buy stickers and shirts and other random gear.
All those kids are around 12 years old and they all ride 8.0”.

Thanks for the reply’s. Checked with some friends kids as well. You guys were all on point. They’re all on 8-8.25

8.5s are becoming increasingly popular, at least from what we've been seeing on our web store / kids reaching out via IG DM. 8.25 is our best seller, if that helps provide any insight!

Kids don't even know what they ride most of the time.....some have rails though...

8.0 or 8.25 for sure, 8.5 to a lesser extent, 8.125 / 8.38 are way less popular.
For reference I'm in Asia where everyone is smaller.

8 and 8.5 are popular at my local with the youth
