Not trolling, looking to hop in the time machine and pick up some puffy tongue shoes for ripping. I grew up in the time of Adio, Globe, DVS, Fallen, Circa, etc.
I see that Globe is still alive. Who else is out there that actually make good quality puffy bois? Ideally with a wide toe box too.
-
honestly a dc lynx og would be best for you if you can find it, if not the lynx zero will be a decent halfway point to todays shoes and older shoes. maybe some dvs' but i dont know if youll like the look. globes dont have wide toe boxes generally.
-
Lynx zero is pretty legit and easy to find

Accel OG!
-
DC Kalis Lite or SE are nice. Had both and really liked skating them.
-
Like it was said above, OG Accel should definitely be a go-to. You would probably love the OG Lynx.
I just got some NB# Tiago 1010’s. The tongue on them isn’t super puffy, but it definitely has that puffy shoe feel. They remind me of the OG Accel, but with half the tongue.
I know the thread is asking for a puffy tongue shoe. Wasn’t sure if you were looking for an actual puffy tongue, or just that type of silhouette

eS Accel OG / Evant; Quattro, dc Lynx

accel og..i have spoken

last year I got 3 pairs of etnies kingpin for 18 € each. they were so cheap i thought ok they are really puffy but i don't care, actually they skate ok. i should have took more.

Appreciate all the feedback homies
Ultimately I think I'm gonna pick up some Fallen Patriots and Troopers. The nostalgia is hitting hard
-
Etnies Joslin 1 really holds up. Stays locked down and keeps it shape. Good flick. Soles are durable. You can almost always find them on sale.
-
One of my homies skates the dc stevies and enjoys them. Those look like they have a puffy tongue.

The Patriots are pretty good. Id recommend the DC Kalis S or Legacy Slim

A lot of good mentions already.
I can only add the Fade and Manchester XLK from Lakai.

I'm right there with @Mulldrifter on the Etnies Kingpin.
I'd say it's a great alternative to the Accel OGs and you can pretty much guarantee you'll find them for alot cheaper than the Accels. I'd say the big difference is the Kingpins have a double stitched toe cap instead of triple stitched.
I'll also cast my vote for almost any of the chunky DVS like the Enduro 125s and the Globe Sabres (and other chunky Globes).
