Title: Favourite skate video songs?
Post by: realbasedgod112 on February 07, 2022, 02:20:38 PM: Post any song that was in a skating part or video, what it was in, and why it's your favourite. if you want.

for me it's 'the hours' in the shane goes video. a lot of people think it's kind of wack, and it kind of is, but watching it is what introduced me to skating. so i guess i can't complain there at least.

i'm curious to hear some others..

this and westgates part in stay gold to Earthless - Jull.

Similar songs that are just built for skate video parts literally. Hugely dynamic with speed and breakdowns to fit slow mo stuff on something dominantly fast paced. Good gaps in the hevy parts to fit lines between singles.

I remember the first few times watching stay gold thinking how similar those two first parts to the video felt similar.

Art starts with a nosegrind on a bench; westgate starts with a kickflip nosegrind on a bench fish eye lines....

2 of arguably the gnarliest dudes to ever do it.

Seeing Ray Barbee’s style on a board combined with him providing shredding on guitar and doing background vocals to his part made me an instant fan as a kid.
