Title: Most cringe thing you've seen at a skatepark
Post by: trashparty on April 08, 2022, 05:21:17 PM
Just had the wildest shit happen lmao, i usually skate in the morning to avoid the locals at my park (their fried) as well as the fact that my job is an afternoon/night gig, but i had the day off and felt like skating a hubba so I pulled up.

anyways, i just saw a kid in a FA shirt, bigboys, and a hook-ups board, focus his deck and scream FUCK! repeatedly, after trying to do a lame ass kickflip on the smallest hip in the park for 30+ minutes, meanwhile his homie was follow caming with an iphone fisheye and one of those iphone filmer grips.

after the kid focused his deck for the clip, his filmer homie said "that clip is so fire"

they proceeded to smoke weed out of the nastiest bubbler i have ever laid eyes on in my life, filmer homie got multiple close up shots of him ripping the bowl. (i presume for the edit)

directly after, (while waiting in line for the step up), i heard this white guy in sunglasses, a henley, and a revive deck, drop the N-bomb while singing a Chance the rapper lyric. He then proceeded to lace up the most crispy kickflip underflip i have ever seen in my life, up that step up.

i had to leave immediately after this in order to preserve my mental health. While sitting in my car, this made me recall all of the cringe moments of my past, and realize none of them are nearly as bad as what i just witnessed.

Can anyone share experiences on par with my day today, or did i just witnessed the most fried shit of all time back to back.

definitely will be talking about these instances with my therapist on wednesday.

do ur thing SLAP, i wanna hear ur cringe stories. <3

Most cringe was about an hour ago. The person roll up and get scared of all the life going down in the skatepark. They didn’t even try anything.  They left and we saw in their lips something “leaving for my mental health”  they got in their car and was  typing on phone. I think they was on slap message boards at the skatepark but I was pretty far away doing rips off the bubbler so could have been Facebook.

Oh god too many moments that I can recall,  rolling delta 8 blunts spitting scooter kids n bombs dropped lengthy story tellers of who knows who blah blah blah.

I believe it was at burnside I punched a dipshit for dropping dirty rigs in one of the bowls from up top.

In Florida there seems to be a shit load of prefabricated parks and those are the worst for local shenanigans to happen.

Terrible graffiti during the daytime in an open park with park guards is at the top, Scooter moms are bad. I know I have done just as much cringey stuff when I was young though. Those who live in a glass house shouldn't throw stones. Unless you're Danzig, he can do what he wants.

Years ago now but west Sydney has the most scooterers on earth easy. With them come parents some stay in their car or setup a chair and look at the phones but then some started to get scooters themselves and get involved. Anyway there must of been some kind of scooter parent group think going on because all these new/alternate skatepark rules started happening. Like the parents just assumed a skatepark was some unruly free for all and tried to figure it out.  Anyway one time skating this mini bowl a dad came over and was trying to tell us all the rules being like "ok you go" points to someone then "and now it's your turn" points to someone else. And you say "skating" when your dropping in or say "crossing" or you're just dropping in to cross the bowl. Also you should all stand with your boards on the coping to save time. By the way this guy's probably like 40 talking to a group of 25-30 year olds

I saw some post on Reddit where a tik tok crew had lights and camera gear set up in the middle of the park to film a fucking tik tok. I’d sharkbite their damn tripods if I was there.

Once there was this guy who thought he was hot shit. He told some roller skating girls "this is a skate park, not a roller park".He was pulling out his pants legs and bragging about how he can change them from pants to shorts in an instant and snaking everyone while calling out the tricks he was going to do.
One time he said "Ollie north"
And he fell and hurt his knee side.
And I pulled out my compass and looked at it and yelled"more like Ollie East"
Then everyone clapped . Two dudes gave me daps and the old dudes at the bowl started banging their trucks against the coping. One of the black roller skaters sucked on her finger and winked at me. And the guy was so humiliated he quit skateboarding.

Some high school kid showed up to the park with both a board and scooter and kept claiming to his friend how easy skateboarding was. I was trying to backside Ollie into a steep bank wall instead of partying into it and asked if he could do it. First try he buckled hard probably rolled ankle and then immediately hobbled out of the park with his buddy.

Getting in the way of a guy playing skate causing him to mess his trick up and apologizing (even tho they were playing in a fucked spot and totally in the way) and him replying “it’s all good I probably would have landed it tho”

Some dude parked next to the skatepark and was filming a music video out in the parking lot. He brought his girlfriend with him and she was dancing and twerking in the video. Instead of coming into the skatepark like his girlfriend wanted him to, he goes and tries to skate around the playground next to the park since he could barely ride.

a young family and some of their friends were trying to play tennis across like a quarter of the park the other day (which is right next to an open field, which - what do i know - might have been a better choice). this was close to peak time (it can get insanely crowded) but no one (including me, lol) would say anything cos they were doing a pretty solid job of communicating a high not giving a fuck factor.

my personal cringiest skatepark moment was probably when I was 9 and immediately cried when I accidentally snaked someone. or any of the times I had to beg people to use their setup for a second because I was tired of riding my dad's 30 year old G&S Fibreflex (now my most prized possession, funny how that works)

Middle-School aged kids drunk on hard liquor. There's a crew of groms who steal bottles of booze from the Pharmacy down the street from the park, just filling their backpacks with bottles of cheap vodka and whatnot and running back to the park to sell or trade for shoes/skate gear. I live in a sketchy town full of sketchy people. In a few years these kids will be robbing meth dealers and discovering how much better they skate when high on crank

All the worst stuf I’ve seen at a park was in Marblehead in the late 80s and 90s.
There used to be this guy named Shawn Massy. He was heavily disabled and was always running around my neighborhood. I grew up at 12 green street which was down the street from him and across the street from the park.
He was completely out of control. Pulling his dick out and pissin in his mouth etc. we was very young seeing this. He also cracked my head open with a rock from 200 yards away. He ate dog shit and all types of crazy shit.

Later We built a few ramps at the Marblehead Horseshoe in the like 20 years it existed. There was static between skateboarding and football. They burned down 2 of my ramps. One was a full on mini ramp.

In the mid 90s our ramp that was at nick’s house was moved to Alex’s house when Nick went to college. These fuckers burned it down to put a trampoline in there with out asking if I could take it away or anything.

That’s the most cringe thing to ever happen to me in skateboarding but it was on private property.

I’ve seen some violence last few years that was not cool at all.

i wish i was trolling dude, i witnessed this shit with my own eyes and ears. Human/skater behavior continues to bewilder me more and more, the older i get.

in my twenties if that gives u any perspective

leaving seems to be the most solid option.

I thank god every day for morning sessions/street skating/my homies/and the ledge i built outside my house. without these 4 essential things, i dont think i would have kept skating.

why are skateboarders routinely such fried individuals, there needs to be study conducted.

I’ve seen a lot of cringy things and people at parks.
I’ve told some of the stories on slap in the past.

Don’t think I told this one - I was skating a park by myself, and these two dudes walk in. One of them is wearing a full-on bear costume, the other has a camera. They walk in the middle of the park - where I’m skating - and start filming dumb shit, like the guy in the bear costume running up a ramp and sliding down it on his stomach.

I went to sit down. They didn’t ask if they were in the way or anything, it was super kooky but I was being mellow and figured they’d leave soon.

They did not. In fact, the filmer came up to me and said, “Can I PLEASE borrow your skateboard?” And I stared right at him and said no. Filmer walked back to the bear and I’m pretty sure he said “He just said no to letting me borrow his board” and the both of them started laughing. At that point I left the park.

This cunt named Justin in our small skate crew back around 2005.  He was a few years older than all of us, pushed mongo, had tribal and barbed wire tatts, beaded necklace, often shirtless and would do screamo vocals before/mid trick. He created the "Shibby grind" which was a board slide whilst shouting SHIBBY! like from Dude where's my car... Anytime there were females around he would get really adhd and start talking loud, about himself and high fiving everyone. It was cringe of the highest order but also some of the funniest shit ever. I could go on and on but I'm sure you get the picture

Showed up to the park and a bunch of scooter kids were bullying the shit out of this young kid. Little man couldn’t even speak English but he wanted to try my skateboard so I let him rip around for a bit and all of a sudden the scooter kids were being super nice to him?? you stop bullying the kid just cause an adult shows up?? Show a little backbone

You want scooter kids to show back bone? It's their moms that show back bone.. super easy for me to get into after they watch me sesh the park.

One time this redneck showed up in hiking boots and a gun on his waist and attempted stationary Ollie’s in the middle of the park.

I once made the mistake of going to Venice skatepark. Even at 7am the place was kook city, one girl was playing with her kitten in the snake run.

Recently been seeing big pants small wheels kids with crazy loose trucks. Their runs consist of pushing a few feet and hanging on for dear life because their trucks are so stupidly loose.

So I was skating my DIY and it was me, two friends, a random older skater, and a big flock of little kids who wandered in just running around. After a few close run ins, me and my friends politely convinced the kids to go play on the playground just outside, but as they were walking out the fourth random dude decides to be tough and yells “YEAH, AND STAY OUT!”

Of course, seeing that kinda reaction made the kids change their minds and become MORE antagonistic. After awhile the older guy cussed out the kids and they ran off to go tell their dad or something. Before we know it, like 8 dudes come stomping in to the park and the lone guy confronts them all and starts screaming about how he’s a “Sargent” and how they have to respect him. There was a moment where it seemed like both the lone guy and the 8 others assumed me and my friends would have his back to which we quickly made clear he was not with us. At one point the “sargent” said he was gonna call in some back up to which I saw him pretending to call people when he was actually just on Google.

Bear wandered around the park one day and I stood to the side watching it by myself. He “hid” himself behind the mega-mini ramp and was out of sight.

Someone pulls up, parks adjacent to the feature with the invisible predatory animal, and gets out.

The sadistic part of me didn’t want to say anything from afar and the rational part of me justified it as an   ethnological experiment. The human part of me ended up quickly warning him.

He left without skating.

some people (non skaters) have started living at the park in their vehicles.  plugging their van/trailer setups to the park power with extension cords and fully running AC window units, tvs etc.  This could get all the power and lights shut down by the city if it keeps up.  Magically found about a dozen needles on the ground near where they were set up.  one guy has an emaciated, obviously physically abused dog that he lets roam around to search for food, cause hes not feeding it himself.   about to be very not chill.

I don't get easily annoyed so I'll let it most of it slip.
But I can't stand littering at the park.

But the absolute most cringey thing I went through just recently was this slutty mom and her kid walking up to me after I rolled around the park asking me: "Why do you guys hang around here when you have no kids with you?" implying that me and a friend were not welcome, and had no reason to be there ...

I just replied with: "I skate, it's a FUCKING skatepark, that's why."

They basically kept screaming back and forth and after calling his "back up" he finally left. A little anticlimactic, but afterward there was a nice moment between the 8 guys and us remaining skaters where we kinda laughed it off and tried figuring out what the hell had just happened.

I've seen tons of kooky shit going down here, but the worst, in my opinion, is the fuckers who bring their 40lb RC cars to the park when it's at its busiest. Constantly cutting people off, coming way too close to causing severe injuries, etc. Just in general not giving a fuck about anyone but themselves.
Few weeks ago, same dude shows up to the new-ish park here, sees that it's packed to hell with people skating and children being children, and proceeds to start tearing around the park like no one is there. He ended up cutting off a buddy of mine, nearly caused him to fall face first into a rail. My buddy, who is generally a quiet and mild mannered dude, finally has enough and says something to the guy. Words were exchanged and I assumed that would be the end of it until minutes later I hear "Oh shit!" and see them going at it on the other end of the park.
My buddy gets a few good licks in and tries to grapple dude to the ground and just diffuse the situation, but RC dude isn't have it and proceeds to try to pull a gun. RC dickhead's girl runs over and snatches the gun from him while roughly 30 of us crowd around to make sure nothing escalates. Dude finally breaks away from my homie and starts yelling some bullshit about how we're all a bunch of pussies and whatnot.
Situation ends with all of us forming what is essentially a giant wall of people and running them out of the park. Haven't seen them since and hope they learned their lesson.
Sorry for the longwinded story.

for a real answer i'll say when skaters break out into tears over someone waxing the flat bar, it's not just the action itself but the people who perform the action as It's never some dude trying to learn fs feebles or back lip slides that complain because i'd understand it.. It's the guys who have been skating for years and do NOTHING but one foot long boardslides and bs feebles over and over again.

Sorry bud but just because you are a pussy and have bad balance doesn't mean i shouldn't wax the flat bar.. I want to bs smith the whole rail smoothly, not go faster and do a ugly ass smith because i'm forcing it to slide, i want to bs nose blunt the rail, do you know how much fucking friction that trick causes? No you don't because your a scared fucking pussy scared of a little wax.

Hmn sucks, but imagine someone younger and not into skating that much, maybe into bmx getting called kook by an aging you because they sit on the lowest ledge or standing next to a waxed curb in the park that you try to smash your oldschool setup against, trying to learn slappy.

Moral: every action in a skatepark is already pretty embarrassing past the age of 18, no matter which sport or what angle looked at. So just never be in the way

what's embarrassing about that? The only thing embarrassing here is you not realizing you've been brain washed and manipulated into thinking the way you do. Why is every action at the skatepark past the age of 18 embarrassin? Because someone told you so?

I think it was last night when the 45+ adult man on a RAZOR scooter called me a kook for standing in his way while he was doing fly-outs of the mini-bowl.
[close]

Hmn sucks, but imagine someone younger and not into skating that much, maybe into bmx getting called kook by an aging you because they sit on the lowest ledge or standing next to a waxed curb in the park that you try to smash your oldschool setup against, trying to learn slappy.

Moral: every action in a skatepark is already pretty embarrassing past the age of 18, no matter which sport or what angle looked at. So just never be in the way
[close]

what's embarrassing about that? The only thing embarrassing here is you not realizing you've been brain washed and manipulated into thinking the way you do. Why is every action at the skatepark past the age of 18 embarrassin? Because someone told you so?

Pathetic
[close]

I have 20 years of experience hanging at the skatepark a few times per week past the age of 18 now.
And you?

must have sucked living your prime years embarrassed of yourself

This happened a couple days ago. This kook in a beat up Blake Griffin Clippers jersey was running from one of the park to get speed to nosemanny this relatively long but low manny pad and have his buddy try to film it. He kept getting in the way of people and not getting close. On one attempt he runs up and was about to throw down but he got in the way of a roller skater chick about to drop in. He flips and the girls starts teasing him about "you should have asked" then he yells out "I DONT HAVE TO ASK, IM AT A SKATE PARK" which was one of the dumbest things I have ever heard. To make a long story short he never got the trick. The roller skater chick keep talking shit to him cuz he was still getting in peoples way. The funniest thing was this random dude kept yelling "Let's go Griffin".

Dudes making skateboard how to videos. There’s this one dude who makes how to vids for YT (that I won’t post here out of respect) and it throws off the whole vibe of the park. To be fair, he’s super respectful and his content isn’t half bad, but maybe choosing to film while the park is crowded af isn’t the best move pal

yo i know my first two stories were pretty good but this shit just happened this afternoon and i have to put it here... it tops my first stories and is def worth reading

This dude pulls up with a drone, like the nice fancy phantom one, or whatever all the youtube bros have. As of now im just kinda like meh, not the first time ive seen a drone guy at the skatepark getting arial park footy for his youtube montage or whatever. His homie then pulls up with a skateboard drinking an xtra large monster, he then proceeds to fire the drone up and fly around away from the park while his homie rips. all is good no worries at all.

His homie finishes warming up by doing nothing but non popped bs noseslides on every feature he can in the park, he lets drone guy know that hes ready for footage time, this is when all hell breaks loose.

drone homie starts flying the drone very poorly within 10 feet of noseslide guy as he does laps thru the park, straight drone follow camming, the drone nearly smacked me in the face as i was just standing to drop into a quarter pipe to get speed for a feature. Everyone kinda takes notice of how dangerous / careless this is, but no one really says anything because we were all too captivated by the idiotic activity taking place.

meanwhile, me and my homie move to the other end of the park to skate the mini, cuz were not trynna get drone fucked mid skate.

after about 4-5 minutes of the drone follow cam, I hear a loud SMACK followed by the tears of a child.....

yep, you guessed it. Drone homie flew his shit straight into the face of one of the older local skaters i know son. We turned to see the kid on the ground grabbing above his eye crying. He's bleeding too, nothing crazy, but nobody likes to see a 10 year old bleeding out of their face. he also bashed his elbow up pretty good too.

Me and my homie immediately skate over and make sure little dude is ok and call his pops (i have his #). On top of being smacked in the face by a heavy ass drone, he also fell down the hip and thats what caused his face to split open. he had scratches too from what i assumed was the propellers. he took it very well, and my homie got him water/bandaids/icecream from the corner store

Meanwhile drone guy and his homie are literally just standing in the middle of the park making sure the drone is ok, no apology or anything of that nature, not even a sorry. they just walked over to a bench, fiddling with the drone, cursing.

as they sit on the bench gathering their shit/drinking monster, drone homie starts laughing about the incident / making jokes to the skater, and some of the locals/myself take notice of this and aren't cool with it. We decide to go confront the dude as a group and let him know how much of a fucking prick he is, and that if we ever see him here again, were gonna cave his skull/drone in, unless he goes and apologizes to the kid.

this is when little dudes dad shows up, who is pretty well respected within our scene, guy used to rip. luckily drone guy gave a half assed apology to the kid and his dad and fucked off so nothing had to escalate.

anticlimactic ending, i know. but still a VERY cringe incident. drone guy also was wearing flip flops, and was well into his 30's, he also drove a lime green jeep .

There were some kids running around in gilley suits with fake guns and real machetes. They were like stalking around and i guess they told a few people at the park that they were going to kill them. Eventually, someone called the cops and the kids were put in the back of a squad car bawling their eyes out.

I'll give a shoutout to the random motherfuckers doing their thing and cruising the park at 7 am on unicycles (or the even rarer pogo stick). It looks hilarious but they go out of their way to bother no one and do their thing. RC guys can get fucked though, should be a rule that you can stomp the thing to smithereens without any repercussions.

for a real answer i'll say when skaters break out into tears over someone waxing the flat bar, it's not just the action itself but the people who perform the action as It's never some dude trying to learn fs feebles or back lip slides that complain because i'd understand it..

I go fast, if you continue skating long enough you'll realize going faster is much safer, the more forward momentum you have the less likely you are to ever slip backwards and even if you get unlucky you are much more likely to clear the rail before you land.

In all honestly i wish the go faster people kept that same energy ON the rail.. Wow big tough guy is able to go fast on the flat ground before the rail but too scared to go fast on the rail?

Il end this with one last tip, all of the stylish skaters people love to watch have one thing in common, they land their tricks with the SAME speed they pop them. Nobody will ever enjoy watching you hit the rail as your upper body jolts itself to compensate for the instant loss of speed followed by riding away at the speed of someone who is actually scared of going fast.

Skating in rough-turned-gentrified neighborhood skateparks in SoCal and OG locs trying to vibe and tough guy you, while they are basically getting drunk by themselves or a few guys who still drink at a park all day doing nothing. Little kids making fun of you and the way you dress and how you skate, then seeing them the next day or whatever and theyre totally biting your stee (or they possibly just watched guy’s part in mouse or some old girl/chocolate vids for inspiration from the “golden age of street skateboarding.”) Bowl trolls and OG washed up pros and industry guys milking it and being extremely bitter toward every single person they do not know well. I love skateboarding, but I really dislike the politics involved with companies and unqualified skaters and business sharks put into high risk management situations

I was skating a prefab park in Kirksville, Missouri by myself and just as I was leaving, an Oldsmobile full of Juggalos pulled up. Multicolored dreads, face paint, hockey jerseys, the whole nine. I tried to hang around a lil bit to see some action but it was obvious I was already leaving as they got there, so I picked up my jaw and drove off before I got caught gawking at these devout disciples of Shaggy 2 Dope and Violent J

Hard agree. The "just go faster, man" people usually are NOT trying hard tricks or even going fast themselves. They tend to not understand friction either.

Haha, he definitely didn't ask me to move out of the way.  He decided to come at me full speed and get as close as possible, even though he had plenty of space on either side of me.  He also growled at me like a rabid dog and then scooted over to a group of teenage kids to bum a cigarette, lol.

Maybe youre overthinking it and probably should just let it go and have fun on a skateboard. I might be a hypocrite for saying this, and I agree that I have been that guy whose too lazy to go to the store and grab a pack of smokes to just bum a cig and play skate with the locals, but its basically like going to your local rec center, playing street basketball and shooting the shit with everyone, without no ill will. Idk thats my perspective to a skatepark. No one is pro, and if they are, who cares and maybe try to have a bit of etiquette and respect for a spot. Clean up after yourselves and fix the spot if ya can too for the rest of the community

Teenagers grabbing cigarette butts off the ground, asking you for rolling papers, then rolling all those butts into a cig.
The perpetrator's mandatory DGK hoody, basketball shorts, high multi-colored socks, and curved brim hat are essential in this context.

Had a similar experience skating a mini at a park in Canberra years ago. There used to be a 12ft vert ramp that almost nobody touched, this parent with their two kids on scooters comes along and tells us that this mini wasn't designed for us and suggested we go skate the more appropiately sized vert ramp instead lol

I feel like more parks need notices explicitly for naive parents about how dangerous they can be, I've lost count of how many kids I've collided with over the years.

Lol the amount of times something like that's happened and I've just lied and said well actually i designed and helped build this park just to see the look on their faces.

Also I've mentioned this before but another cringe park behaviour were people hosting cross fit classes in skateparks. Like just setting up all their shit everywhere with a group of mums running around doing push ups on the banks and flatbars. Of course then they get confrontational when you tell them to fuck off and it's real awkward with all their class just standing there completely confused to what's going on because they think it's all above board.

Same guy?

Of course then they get confrontational when you tell them to fuck off and it's real awkward with all their class just standing there completely confused to what's going on because they think it's all above board.

I had an exchange with some BMX kid’s dad because I had told the kid “Hey, get that fucking mud off your tires before you ride in the park.” (Kid was getting mud all over the deck and roll-in)

Plumber Dad gets in my face and says “What are you saying to my kid?!?”

“I’m telling him not to get mud everywhere so people don’t slip and get injured.”

“You skaters don’t run this place. You didn’t build it!”

“Actually, we did. We paid for and did all the concrete work.”

<pause>

“Why are you talking to kids? Are you some kind of molesta? You a child molesta?”

I just shook my head and walked off.

BMX dads are on another level of crazy. There’s one BMX kid who is probably somewhere around 8-10 years old who can carve around the bowl pretty well, but he constantly snakes people and takes excessively long runs. Usually he’s there alone, and despite trying to explain that snaking isn’t cool, he continues to do it anyway. One day his dad was there and the kid dropped in while another guy was skating the bowl (going fast, doing airs). Dude calmly says hey don’t drop in on me when I’m skating, and dad proceeds to lose his shit. Dad gets in the dudes face and threatens to beat up/kill the guy. Poor guy ended up saying fuck this and left the park.

The funniest thing was this random dude kept yelling "Let's go Griffin".

honestly you should have had someone go do it in his face so he would shut the fuck up.

some kid at muni was trying a nose manny on the manny pad and had his girl film it. After like 45 minutes his girl was clearly over it and started crying when she asked if they could go see the rest of  the city and the dude kept trying after that. my homie went over and did the nosemanny in a line and the kid threw his board and dipped out. i really hope that girl dumped that fool

just seeing kids at the skatepark but their not fucking gettin some; not applying themselves whatsoever. Just kind of sitting there smoking weed does a couple quarterpipe things ( its 1 foot tall ) then sits down and repeats. Absolutely wouldn't be there if one of their friends weren't there but there they are everyday ....

I hate skate coaches. Everytime I see one "coaching" it's blatantly obvious that the kid isn't having fun. Sometimes the coaches can barely skate themselves.

One time this guy pulled up blasting "makedamnsure" by taking back Sunday loud as fuck in a shitty astro van. He rolled his windows down and kept it on repeat. Then he got out to skate, wearing skin tight pants, already shirtless, had on one of those bright yellow rental helmets. His wheels were somewhere in the 30-40mm range, he just tried really shitty tricks to fakie on the bank the whole time, didn't land anything I can remember. Stayed for about half an hour with that song playing the entire time.

When I was like 13 or 14 this girl I went to school with showed up to the park with her little brother. I definitely slammed full force right in front of her trying to do a good FS Ollie on this big hip, I had been getting them all day but I think I just choked because a girl was watching...tight. which kinda leads into the next one.

I've seen a fair share of teenage girls looking for attention from the boys at skateparks, that whole situation can be pretty cringe. Girls just sitting on ramps, pretending to act natural like they're just chilling, or yelling and causing a scene to grab people's attention. Then the teenage guys acting tough, or taking their shirts off, or trying some hard trick that's out of their skill level. As if landing it will win them a woman or something.

Behind the mini ramp at this one park was basically where all the degeneracy happened. People literally called it the "piss spot" as most of the soda/energy drink fuelled dehydrated ass kids would use it as a urinal, so there was a STRONG odor of piss. You could smell it all over the park if the wind blew the right way. Kids would smoke cigs back there. I remember this scene/emo chick offering to touch someone's dick for a cig once back there. Also at this particular park there was some super angry child that loved to fight and the locals would sick him on people like some sort of animal. Usually people bigger than him so they could film it and I guess it would be like "crazy" that this little kid beat up someone larger than him. But on multiple occasions the larger person would just kinda be like "wtf?" And walk away,  maybe push the kid off of them (thankfully), but all the teenage dudes with their phones out trying to get the next Worldstar video just to get nothing was pretty cringe.

I once scraped a golfball sized piece of wax off a 6' flat bar. Probably from that wax guy earlier in the thread.

..... Yea I think that's it. Had some weird dreams and wrote this at 4am after not being able to sleep. Sorry if it's a bit incoherent.

hey. did you miss me? guess not. two months later youre finally getting a response from me. also recently king abdo pretty much almost beat the shit outta me at tompkins for dissing elise on here cause i thought they were being mad hollywood last time. like that kid was straight up simping for that enby i swear. that kid was like 10 years younger than elise. mans is in hs and he tryna gang up on me like hell no i am NOT fighting a kid. he also kept misgendering them calling them one of his “female friends” they dont wanna be perceived as a male or female. they just wanna be elise. ok? like bro i know telling you guys about my problem with them wasnt my best choice and made you guys make fun of me. shoulda kept my mouth shut but literally they dont gotta simp for them after all of this. imagine killing me over this one sided beef i never wanted to start because i was overthinking about my last interaction with them? and had to spill all the tea on here instead of venting it to a therapist? like those tompkins skaters are fucking sick in the head my guy. tryna jump me over some light shit like this.

defending elise over this shit makes them look insane and they need to go to the mental hospital and get put on anti psychotic meds before they go crazy on me just omw to skate.

also idk elise’s number. i just hit them up on imessage thru the email that was on the instagram profile and elise lied on my name on how i was hitting them up. i literally dont know the number. i just wanted to let them know how they got me real upset and i told them how TJ’s cousin jose (flares) was tryna make me get percs for him at washington heights and it could’ve been a setup. bro these nyers and gentrifiers got some mental problems and they live for the beef and the smoke instead of just apologizing to me. but this case i just need to apologize to elise for scaring tf outta them for thinking i got their number but nope it was thru imessage. nothing is gonna happen to them. i have no ill will against anybody. i just had a moment of weakness. also follow me on insta @nycskatedaily. its like if @nycgraffdaily and gifted hater had a kid.

this guy def takes the cake

personally, i cant skate high, let alone after a slab of wax

sense the rig talk keeps coming up i want to chime in with my own opinion, For some reason i have noticed with dabs you just don't get the same burnt out feeling a couple hours into the sesh you get with a joint/bong and because it's so strong each re up feels like your first dab of the day leaving you feeling completely fresh even after multiple hours of skating while with a joint or bong once you feel the burnt out feeling it's over, a second joint or bong toke isn't getting rid of it.

So if it's a day where i want to skate for 6+ hours the dab rig is actually a massive advantage compared to rolling up and bunch of joints and hitting the park with them.

-note i'm not defending these kids, chances are they have no idea what i'm talking about, i use marijuana as a tool to help me focus and get in the zone, not to look cool like a kid with a 3 foot dab rig feeling bad ass.

Says the guy with the 3 foot dab rig at the session.
But I believe this homey; after all, he does know a good deal when it comes to wax.
Same wax you use on the flat bar?
You ever dabbed a ball of skate wax?

saw this guy playing Nirvana songs on his acoustic guitar while sitting on top of the bump to ledge at my local. He wasn't exactly talented on the guitar and kept forgetting the lyrics - all of this with a really thick thai accent. After about 30 minutes of that, he proceeded to mongo push around the park and get in a bunch of peoples way.

definitely one of the more interesting things i've seen at a skatepark

This dude Oklahoma Tony who appeared with a wild story and hung around too long where I grew up used to do that. He called it rolling snipes. He literally got put on a bus back to Tulsa by another dudes step dad who waited there to watch the bus leave to make sure Tony was on it.
