I feel terrible for your loss, but no more fucking praying, OK?
If America is going to move forward, it has to first accept that it is a deeply flawed and absurdly violent society. After that, it needs to collectively make real steps, even if they are just symbolic (like gun registration) to show that its wants to change.
This fucking fetishization of armed insurrection against the government being too only way to protect freedom needs to be dealt with, and well as being actually Christlike, caring enough for your neighbors that universal healthcare and psychiatric counseling is provided for all.

I'm sorry your police department failed you. I am sorry this country failed you. I hope the loss and trauma your town has experienced can initiate some real change. I don't do prayer (at least not in the traditional sense) but like others here, I am spending some time to really think about what happened and the lives of those kids and teachers.
