That was awesome. Great spot/trick selection and great style. Excited to see more of him in the future.

really sick part but wait, is MJ his dad or his brother? MJ is 45 and I assume this dude is in his early 20's so i guess it would kind of make sense if it was his kid but idk. who's got the answers?

Its MJ’s son

His style is pretty unique, I like it

That fukn ruled. Only little nit pick is personal hate of the heather grey shirt with khaki pants. Always love a skater who puts their ankles on the line dropping into manuals.

His dad. People used to not wait until their 40s before having kids.

I know, its like wheres the contrast. Light pants dark top, dark pants light top duh..

My gripe was that he did flip tricks. He made it through most of the part with out any. Then they were showing him hanging with Tom K and I thought for sure he wouldnt do any flip tricks. The back smith backside flip was pretty dope, but it could have been in his next part along with the 50-50 kickflip and the treflip. His THPS style drop off manuals are rad.

Super sick.
Could see him in the Krooked van.

Is this the kid who is in Bag of Suck? Reminds me of all the "Unsavory" CHris Avery jokes in the Tilt Mode vids  ;D  ...except this guy's skating is decidedly savory.

I believe it is Matt Bublitz (Thrasher Filmer) and Tom K's clothing company?

Solid. Wonder if he is estranged from pops or likes him? Cuz he keeps the relationship low key and has let his abilities do the talking.

Also on Krooked for the entire part.

Yeah, named after Chris Avery’s family. Also, his middle name is Nicholas drake, after the singer. MJ talked about this in an old thrasher interview that I somehow remember.

Good part, good trick selection, back smith bs flip was sick. Wasn’t really feeling the ender for some reason

Great part. Intriguing approach . Wondering if his pops had a chance to offer insights of the edit prior to final product. The filmer & editor had a high bar to hit.

The pop out of that boardslide fakie manny is scarily familiar.
Did MJ plan to shut down the slap “fake steeze” argument by proving it’s genetically transmitted via his bloodline? That’s some chess not checkers shit.

I assumed it was Bublitz's version of Atlantic Drift, but with sensitive, spot-conscious cali boys.

What got me was the 360 he did in a line, its so similar to MJ where he lifts the front foot off the board during the spin.

wasnt feeling the ender either i liekd some of the other tricks better. pretty sick part i think he is quite good but imo not terribly original - feels like all this stuff has been done to death now. if this wasnt MJ's son no one would really give a shit - he is a less original / weaker shane farber. i feel like that is a bit harsh because at the end of the day it was very good skating. my favorite clip was the los alamos park curved ledge because we havent seen that spot in decades and was always one of my fav's - who knew that bench was still there?!?!?

I think this is a bad take. Shithouse, even. This was not unoriginal skating, and people WOULD like it, even if he wasn't Marc's son.

Really dug this.

Really liked the tricks over the curved kink rail (board to
270 shuv out, nosegrind).

He’s got a good mix of tech, and Tom K. type style. Wasn’t sure how I felt about the manuals out of the grinds, though I know how difficult that could be. I think my biggest criticism of them would be down to editing those types of tricks to just two of them.

The last trick was like something I’d do playing EA Skate. Either way, enjoyed this part

Speaking on skaters’s kids, I just realized that the kid smith grinding the shop rail in Kingswell’s stories is Jason Lee’s son Pilot Inspector Lee.   Wild name but you know his first graphic will be the Public Image Ltd logo

Museum has always felt like a euphemism for tripping and or other hallucinogenic activities. Maybe that just a me thing tho. Tripping always gave the world a Museum vibe.

Don't see much resemblance to MJ (maybe it's the hair), but it sure seems to run in the family.
