Was just thinking about how hardly anyone does reg heelflips and how really no one known for doing reg heelflips (lindsay robertson, neen, Jeremy Wray, manny santiago) does them switch.
Antuwan Dixon comes to mind right away and I think maybe Furby had both as well. antuwan had fakie double heels, all sorts of crazy stuff. maybe PJ Ladd as well? I cant really think of any clips of him doing a striaght heelflip, but he does heel varial stuff. i have a feelng this is gonna be a short thread.

it's a me problem, but i cant stand when someone does heelflips variations more often than kickflip variations because it just makes it seem like they cant kickflip. do 'em both? cool.

pretty much everyone can kickflip though. pretty rare someone doesnt have a good regular flip. but yeah they should do more clips where they do both down the same spot i think that looks awesome on parts.

and i contend that people with good heelflips only have them because they couldnt master the basic kickflip

i kickflipped a 7 stair before i did heelflip down a 4. i only learned heelflips becuase my friend fetus told me his cousin kickflipped and heelflipped it. so once i landed the kickflip i started working my way up to the heelflip and did it a couple years later. so i think it just depends on your reason for wanting to learn it. after i did it, fetus told me he made the whole thing up, i dont even think the cousin was real

Rodrigo TX got a solid heelflip on every stance

It me :-( Sadly, Kickflips came to me much later and I still feel like Bambi on ice every time I try one.
Ben Gore has a good heelflip and a good switch Heelflip
-
Not many it seems, which makes me much more interested in regular ones.
Arto is the first one that comes to mind.

Arto has them all 4 stances for sure
i cant really think of anyone besdies maybe Antuwan who has had all 4 stances of heelflips down sizeable gaps within 1 video part (i think baker has a deathwish he has them all and then some, even fakie double heel, half cab heel )
-
Arto is my favorite nollie heeler (on top of being favorite skater).
I don't recall a fakie heel from him though, do you ?

i think fakie flip in SORRY and switch flip that ended up somewhere (digital video or other montage?) as far as i remember!
Kinda same trick different stance thing too......when i was little and just started skating i saw the switch flip in a montage a while after seeing sorry for the first time and only years later it dawned on me that it wasn't the same trick since i remembered it wrong.....imagine doing that fakie flip sooooo good that the switch flip on the same spot is just throw away!

i cant think of jerry doing a regular heel, but the fact he did one fakie like that pretty much proves he does have them regular. i think it was just not cool for him to include one in a video part or something.
theres a decent amount of pros who have done regular and switch heelflips into grinds, that list would be a lot longer than done down notable gaps

Think the problem is unless someone is a "heelflipper" there's no real point for them to ever heelflip a gap. For the extra effort vs kickflip they may as well do 360 flip or varial heel or whatever other better trick

KB and Vincent Touzery

Anyone and their mom can switch heel nowadays, regular heel is where the cookie crumbles stylewise. The Karsten Kleppan clip just posted had both done really well, Gustav got em both too

Will Marshall has really good switch and regular heelflips
