Noticed about the new boards are manufactured by BBS instead PS Stix
I am not skated any board yet but been watching and following this brand and my next deck will be a 8,25 from gx1000 for sure, curious abouyt how step kicks has
personally prefer squared shapes

I want one of those Bomb Hills hoodies but not looking to pay $80 shipping. Wonder if any Canadian shops carry them. Couldn't find any at the 10 or so sites I searched tonight.

What shape are their decks? Steep? Full nose and tail?
If pressed by PS Stix:
Full Nose and Tail: yes (squared almost as fat as current Hockey/FA on BBS, shorter tail though)
Steep kicks: not really (for reference, Hockey/Fa got steeper kicks)
Rather Flat Concave
Boards are kinda like (), wider in the middle (not eggish though)
Wider around front trucks than around back trucks
Didn't see the ones made by BBS yet

If they’re using the same shape as quasi on bbs like they were on ps stix(dims look the same) then the 8.5 is pretty much identical to the ps stix version

What is up with the crotch on those pants? The picture makes it looks like it’s 75% crotch and 25% leg. Who needs that much crotch in a pair of pants?!? Why do all skate pants have insanely long crotches?!? I do not understand this trend but every brand that makes skate pants uses a 12” or longer front rise. It’s insane, nobody needs that much fucking crotch. So much extra unnecessary fabric, why?? End rant.

It can also restrict movement. Maybe it just looks better than with a lesser rise? Skateboarding is roughly 32-74% fashion anyway.

I bought a GX board from my local a couple months ago and it was sick until it cracked in the middle from a fs disaster. I lost a ton of weight and am not fat anymore, too. So I emailed for a warranty and they never replied. Then I went and bought the same board so I hope it doesn't happen again :(

I've been wanting to get a pair of those Dimethyltryptamine Forest Green Cords for a minute now. The patch is pretty sick on those. Wondering how they'll compare to Polar 93's since those are like one of the comfiest cords I've owned.
That brown Bomb Hills Not Countries hoody looking good too. Love me a brown hoody.
Also a lowkey dead head so the steal your face/no microdose also looking good.
Skating on LSD is one of the best feelings ever, especially bombing hills. I feel so in control, so spatially aware when I drop.
I don't think slamming is that bad while tripping as long as you don't seriously injure yourself. LSD for me is a lowkey performance enhancer. First time I ever dropped back in 2011 I spent the whole night bombing hills in the dark. Highly recommend.
Also as BBS only kind of guy, stoked they made the switch from PS Stix.

I think there was something a while back that they were going to keep using PS Stix for some boards and BBS for others.
Same with Quasi - out of the same place anyway - but some of their riders wanted BBS but others wanted PS Stix.
Could be a bit funny then if they don't have top pics or other info from online sites, but PS Stix always has the serial number on top, BBS does not.

The dudes rip but it doesn't change the fact that those cartoonish graphics are laughable and just so, so off brand. Bronze are putting out sweater vests with paisley on as well at the moment, probably see a lot of kids wearing it this winter but we'll see.

Said homie is Joe Roberts, who does a lot of their graphics (the Micky Mouse DMT stuff and the complex intricate trippy stuff). It's a subjective thing but I really like it for the most part. I agree that that board graphic is kinda weak. Otherwise I find it fits the brand quite well, they're all very raw and gnarly, but at the same time have a bit of a 'hippy good vibes' thing going on. Maybe just cause they're by poor by default living in SF and they smoke a lotttt of weed.
What kind of graphics would be more on brand in your opinion? No shade, I'm genuinely curious. They've had some more edgy/dark graphics not too long ago, which were sick, but it was quite Hockey-esque. The Joe Roberts stuff is a bit more original in my opinion.

Yeah I actually just picked up a pair from my local skate shop. They're sick. I normally wear a 36 true to size, but I was able to get these in a 34 waist. You could definitely size up and not be wearing clown-ish panats for sure.
I see they have the red (wine) color ones on sale on the website for only $40 right now too.
They fit slimmer than a Polar surf and they're more tapered than a Polar 93 for reference. They're not a true denim but they feel like a really soft denim and they're great to skate!

Got some pictures comparing shapes between gx pstix and gx bbs.
When i get in to pc i will post them.
The bbs length is 81,5cm/32,1in and the nose/tail much more squared, i dont know if steper kicks.

Kick angle is easy to measure with a smartphone and some bubble level app.

I'm skating the PS 8.625 currently, and just managed to get the BBS version on offer, kick angle is loads mellower on the BBS, and it's 3/4" longer overall.

Left board is: GX1000 - Jeff Carlyle Buck 8.25 (PS)
Right board is: GX1000 - phonehome 8,25 (new BBS)
The new bbs phonehome is 81,5cm(thats 32,1in) and way more squared, liked the cyan blue and simple draw on it but that pictures didnt really convinced me..

So it looks like all of their decks are BBS now. Are these BBS GX shapes similar to Hockey/FA? Is the nose as steep?

Soryy to bump this again - just seeing if anyone can compare the steepness of the nose to hockey/fa on the BBS shape. It looks nice and square from the pics - I just want to know how steep that nose is before I try one. Thanks.

Gx is 8.38 and fa is 8.25. Gx is noticably longer, slightly tapered compared to fa, kick on the nose is mellower, concave looks about the same or slightly mellower

I ended up getting one of the t-shirts instead and it was the shittiest gildan blank that's ever touched my body. I wiped the sweat off my brow skating one night and it scratched my forehead lol. Needless to say, I'ma pass on any of their clothing from now until forever.

How is the concave of the new bbs ones?
I like them a bit on the steeper side, like fa, alien.
And how long is the tail?

The popsicle BBS decks are med steepness, very long rounded kicks not pointy not medium. The square nosed decks have a steep nose like the Quasi BBS.

Seems like GX is all BBS now. I want to try their PS Stix and got one but decided not to ride it and when I tried to find another, I noticed there were no more PS Stix available, which led me to look into Quasi but now I'm hearing they may also be switching to all BBS?

So gx 8.25 have a mellow concave? That’s not for me then unfortunately. I like the fa or aws concave.
Quasi proto would be good if it had a longer tail. Or did this change with their later decks?

The 8.38 I had was like med concave. The tail was quite long compared to the 8.38 FA I'm skating now. The 8.5 Violet has been my favorite shape but I can't find them on sale very often

Quasi has multiple PS in their latest release, not sure about GX. The square GX were fairly steep, but I didn't like the nose so I didn't measure the tail. The popsicles have long tails.

I love the square GX boards. The father time deck is a dream come true. After skating PS Stix boards for so long, its nice to know ive just been wanting fingers of flat this whole time

Them all 8,5
Two of them are bbs and one Pstix
Both ways are nice boards but completly diferemt each pstix and bbs
The pstix is the sean pro debut yellow 8,5
Its the 32,12 x 14,25wb (like 31,65 real lenght) mellow and squared, such a joy
The others are the newer bbs 8,5 on this size the GX1000 boards arent squared anymore, they are rounded standard, not pointy, way longer, a stepper kicks, medium concave id say(i believe its true 32,12x14,5wb have to measure again, but for sure is longer that the old pstix 8,5s)
Can confirm that the GX1000 bbs 8,25 are still squared and very interesnt
Idk about other sizes
Oh and the veeners compositions is still like old ones,
Grip side have two colored and the next are blancs still the last, the graphic veener that is colores too.

Btw guys the other day i was fucking with the boards i got waiting to its turn to get skated and looking baker 8.5 was like, this board looks familiar, compared to the gx1000 board 8,5 from bbs and are excactly the same molds.
So GX1000 8.5 boards is 32 x 14,5 and same shape as baker has.
Btw kinda hyped on that new og logos with transparent spray, curious about that 8,62 shape
