Very nice

This guy is a favorite and so is passport. Great edit. I love when someone has a good kicky and a good heel and he has both. Also every part he has has at least one really sick frontside heel.
-
One of the coolest names in skateboarding
-
Was pretty heavy towards the end there.
-
Surprised by Mat going pro, but why not, comes across as a good guy and relatabley excellent skating. Also, one of the worst songs I’ve ever heard, resulting in zero rewatch chance, which is a shame.
-
that was cool.
How did he end up on Passport?

noiiice

Lad alert!
Dude is crushing that was such a fun watch. Liked the tunes.
-
Seriously bangin' part! Matlok is the truth! Some great spot selection in this.
-
That thrice over the rail was so gnarly and perfectly executed. Second track honked so fucking much, damn.

The English Spanky is tight as.
-
He's not Australian btw he's English. Guessing he linked up with them a couple years ago when they were in London.
Treflip at 4:59 was a beaut

Been on for a long time now. Initially through Keen Dist in the UK then bumped to full squad a few years back.
-
always like when uk dudes manage to get fully on for foreign companies.
love that 50 on the chopped rail that was a cover a few months back.
pass-port are rad but i wish they'd change tact with their mag ads. they're not the only offenders, but they've brought into the trend of running double page spreads issue after issue with some 'meh' art and no skating. just me, but i really want tricks on at least 90% of the pages, preferably 95%. we know you have the squad!
-
In a lot of ways that reminded me of an Urban Outfitters version of T-Funk. A bit less ridiculous on the clothing, a bit slower, and a bit less gnarly but still going for the same thing.

Stoked for MBJ. Pass~Port is sick! Their art direction is top-notch. Kitsch is one of my all-time favorite videos.

Pass~Port generally do single page ads, and always with skating. One of the top shelf global brands coming out of one of the worst national industry. Credit where credit is due.
as i said, i like pass-port, but looking back over my vague issues from the last 5 months (mislaid the latest somewhere), only one of their ads had skating.
-
Just when I thought I understood this guy’s skating style, he throws out a front blunt kickflip back to regular seemingly out of now where. The back tail 3 flip the same. Dude kills, and has the name of a 1920’s London baller.

They've had a skate ad in every Thrasher for about 3 years. We don't get Vague here, but it seems to be presented as a skate & art magazine (every cover has an artist contribution from what I can tell) which may explain the art ads.

MBJ does stay in London but he's actually Welsh, not eng.

god i love the Passportal, that was amazing on all fronts as per usual
-
I can think of many brands that would have given him an Abe Simpson graphic. Good in PassPort for having an art direction

Same here, at the beginning I thought "Oh, one of those dudes who don't flip their board." Great part!

Super fun to watch
-
Matlok might be my new worst modern first name.
-
Nice. But we need a new Jack O'Grady part.

Funny story too.

"...a year before I was born, my dad changed his name to Mattlock, and obviously the place is spelled ‘Matlock’, my name isn’t spelled like that, my name is spelled ‘Matlok’, and my dad’s is spelled ‘Mattlock’, (laughs).
So he changed his name to Mattlock, spelled really…weird, and then when I was born he obviously thought it would be cool to call me Matlok too, though he spelled it completely different to the actual place as well.
I think it’s more the fact that when I meet someone, I’ll say, “alright, I’m Matlok”, and they think I’m introducing myself as my full name, you know ‘Matt Lock’. Honestly, I’ve met people and been skating with them for a full day and they’ve thought my name is Matt Lock. Sometimes I’ve known people for months on end before they’ve realised my name’s not Matt Lock"

Well, it is better than the original synth-pop Ministry, but not by much. This album is just Ministry being "heavily influenced" by Caberet Voltaire, Mark Waters and being rescued by Adrian Sherwood bringing the British industrial sound in production. Painfully derivative. And weird song choice for Matlok, why pick a Chicago band for a Sheffield skater for an Aussie brand?? Hehe - guess I'm overthinking it. ;D
Shoulda gone with Caberet Voltaire.....from Sheffield....duh!!

Well, there's no accounting for taste...and don't get me started on those graphics...fair to say, I'm not a Pass-Port fan (and why the fuck is it Pass-Port not Passport?).
Happy for Bennett-Jones though - he's my new favourite Pass-Port pro. ;D
