Title: Skate parts filmed entirely, or at least mostly at night...
Post by: Steely Daniel on February 21, 2023, 04:01:51 AM: So it's 4 in the morning and I'm thinking about parts that are filmed entirely or at least the majority during the nighttime. I thought Heath's part in This is Skateboarding was all at night but it's maybe 75%

There's something about nighttime footage I just love. Seeing the skater appear in the lights then land and disappear back into the night.

Thanks fellas and yes Japanese parts count. Anything counts as long as it's good. Domestic stuff or homie videos are totally fine as long as it's above average skateboarding.

Post by: bluntfullofmid on September 04, 2023, 05:15:27 AM: had this thought the other day and didnt know if i wanted to make a topic out of it but does it seem like night skating/clips have somewhat vanished from skate videos? when i was first seriously starting to skate and watching videos there were always night clips whether it be with the whole generator set up at a spot or just a regular camera light and someone skating a downtown city. the only two reasons i could think for there being less night clips are 1.) the HPX has horrible night colors and a camera light doesnt really help 2.) people just wanna chill/drink at night and no one wants to go thru the process of lugging around and setting up generators anymore

This video had me wanting to film a one line night edit through hollywood real bad. And then remembered I suck.

Doesn't even need to be entirely at night (edited thread title to reflect) since my starting example was terrible and I missed the obvious Birdhouse Heath part... For shame.

Yoann Taillandier actually has a whole project around the Minuit thing and he released a few videos, this one is my favorite
