The UFC and and affiliated business partners are not going to buy an entity they don't think they can turn a profit with. They know how to market and grow what could be considered a niche sport.

I don't think that purchase has been discussed enough. It's an interesting turn of events for the future of SLS (not that anyone cares about that shitty contest amirite.)

I think his trick selection (and gnarliness on big rails nowadays) might not cut it in todays contest circuit. Hope he makes a comeback, just prefer it to be on the streets.

FTP had one good video and one meh one (thrasher collab). Product looks like they spent 30 minutes in illustrator and called it a day. Not the absolute worst but feels beneath Antwuans potential. Straye just looks ugly and almost anything would look better than flame shoes (again, unless it's cariuma).

Incredible if he can stay sober etc. but I wouldn't judge him if he relapsed. it is so hard to stay on your lane when it's so easy to access and old patterns can easily show up. Very inspirational.

I'd really rather see Antwuan do noseslide variations than the majority of other skating, but the absolute best is when he deviates from his expected bag of tricks (i.e. the fs flip in the post above)

If I understand correctly it’s basically a qualifying event for the rest of the SLS tour. You win SLS select, you earn a ticket to compete in the other stops with Yuto, Nyjah, Kelvin, etc.

Why they had this event after their first official stop in Chicago is beyond me.

When I saw he was gonna be in it I knew he wouldn't really have a chance at winning (obviously) but hoped he'd at least throw down a few of his classic bangers, maybe hit a nollie heel back noseslide bigspin out on the hubba in the single trick section.
That was just kinda sad, and I can't imagine the pressure he felt after getting so much hype and press.
