the kickflip backtail bigspin done at 1:08 by Ishod got me thinking...
http://youtu.be/IeJjFzpINOA?t=67
the best looking and most stylish tricks are often done in one fluid motion; no herky-jerky movements in-between the pop and the landing. I also think this is the crux of having good style.
what are some of your favorite tricks that have been done in one complete motion?

Nate Jones' bs flip on the double set in Real to Reel has always had this very fluent feel to me..

This whole part, really, but particularly the three front board variations starting at 1:03.

I don’t know, man. I like fluid motion as much as the next guy, but I also enjoy distinct methodical movement. It’s the idiosyncrasies that make style, not one over the other.

These two sprung to mind. Not beautiful tricks done beautifully per se, but there's something about the fluid motion here. Wenning's one always looked to me like such a fun trick to do because of this, but any form of front shuv into anything has always been a mystery to me.

back 180 switch 5-0 (or fakie nose grind, whatever u wanna call it) front 180 out at the end of a ledge is the first thing that comes to mind

Back 360s like Gino and grecs. Mine have always been boost a back 180 then late the rest. Scoop issues I reckon

That recent-ish clip of a Japanese (I think?) dude ollieing a gap into a little fountain an no-complying out immediately on landing. Can't remember what vid it's from.

Off the top of my head:
Johnny Layton does a kicky back tail shuv in a line at the start of his good and evil part that looks so cool

100%. Limiting the definition of “good style” so narrowly is a sign of a severely underdeveloped aesthetic sensibility.
-
There is a clip of Hjalte Halberg where he loses his cap during a trick, lands the trick and catches the cap all in one fluid motion. Phenomenal. Maybe someone can find it.

I don’t understand how multi trick ledge combos can be done in one fluid motion. Doesn’t that mean I just tapped the ledge? Like if I did a kickflip nosegrind a good one would be three- kickflip/land on nose, hold nosegrind for a while, then pop off.

spanly’s chest high switch slappy should’ve been jenky and weird but it was beautiful and fluid
-
I liked the way Penny did pivot rock fakies. It's gotta be an easier variation of the trick but he still made it look like one fluid motion. They look like they feel really fun and probably are since he would still do them out of long bs 5-0s sometimes instead of going straight to fakie when he obviously could do that just as easily.

The nollie 3 has always stood out to me as being all one motion. the spin, the impact, the way he stands up after the impact. his arms.
