Title: Palm bruise healing
Post by: Bummer Vacation on October 15, 2023, 01:33:42 PM
I hung up skating mini today & got a nice palm bruise forming. Hit it a couple more times so it’s nice & tender. This is not my first rodeo & so I’m already resting it on an ice pack but I’m not looking forward to having it linger, SO does anyone have a tried & true way to QUICKLY heal a palm bruise?

Wrist brace so you don’t continue to massage it with the asphalt.

I get really bad heel bruises but on the ball of my feet by my big toe.
I use this stuff called Badger Foot Balm - sounds hippy dippy as it’s just natural oils and extracts but it somehow works magic.

Diet is often under-looked in injury recovery. Lean protein sources can be helpful in alleviating bruises.

Drink plenty of water, ice it for the next couple days (15 mins at a time 3 times a day), and try not to fall on it again.

Other than that it's just a waiting game really.

Got one of these today after slipping out skating transition, immediately thought of this thread. It’s pretty minor but still annoying.
