Ha. Posted at the same time. Pace is insane.
-
NHS should use some of that pokemon x santa cruz money to hire someone half decent to edit their videos
-
maurio mcoy's noseblunt nollie flip on the top of that bench was fucking unbelievable.
Pace is a monster. that bs 180 switch crook into the hectic bank was bonkers. probably the last trick i'd want to try on that. the drop down to bs smith could end so horrific, so gnar.
-
Erics part really has me thinking. How many front 180 Enders have there been
-
Guzman!
Guy runs off gimmicks, but Winkowski always amazes me.
I'm a little surprised Wooten didn't get a full part, he would have been great between Winky and Rob
-
Goddamn that shaped board is so ugly to watch in footage. Also being upside down for that long while 2 photographers snap away made me lol
-
pace is hitting roller blader type spots. hyper fucked
-

Agreed.
And as a photographer I would've put my camera down mid trick and waited for him to start going back in before I started shooting again. Who tf do they think would want to see that long ass sequence anyways? Hoho upside down shuvs are so hot right now
-
Lots of insane rail transfers. Goddamn.
-
Didnt expect to enjoy Pace's part so much
-
Had to chuckle at winkowski hand planting down a kinked 50-50

First half of the video was such a disservice to Pace's part.

Really? Showbobs ain’t got no love for Winkowski? And Santa Cruz extended team?
That was incredible. Loved every second. Pace for SOTY. I can’t believe human legs can do all that…

I meant the music and the editing on the first half of the video. Not the skating.

I'm not gonna lie.
Winkowski handstands are not as thrilling as the used to be.

The ho-hos need to go for sure
Idk, the invert fakie on the cowboy hat was kind of a thrill, and I liked that skinny run-up to FS invert the channel. Still impressive, but it has gotten stale to watch 15 handturns in one part
-
That was sick that Rob Pace smith grinded that rail that Aaron Harrison was talking about in that Lurking with Lou Village Psychic piece and that's the only other time I think I've seen the infamous 32 stair Cab boardslide rail, only took like 20 years.
I'll always have a soft spot for Winkowski, those earlyish videos of him were so raw and there is just something unfiltered about it. Could go without the excessive use of ho-hos but hey, you can't win them all.
"I don't even know if anyone's even come out that raw? Like maybe Trainwreck? Maybe? Something that was that unfiltered".
- ISUCK talking about Lennie Kirk.
-
That Christ air was wild
The e-man tricks were a treat.
I’m glad pace is out here getting gnarly, but I never want to see him sit on a feeble again.
-
pace is undeniable
-
Those hand plants are what pays Winkowski’s bills so he can’t stop. How about that switch shove though?
-
Surprised Pace had some reused tricks from that Emerica commercial, but I guess it explains why that dropped on a Sunday.
-
Does Winkowski get an invert actually inverted or is he still doin' those lil chunkyboy blump ups
-
Not a fan of Winkowski but the front 5-0/pivot fakie spine transfer to the chunky fakie drop was very cool.
-

Winkowski buff as fuck and can clearly do actual inverts you gotta be joking
-
i just rewatched this (pace's part) and holy shit his part is so much gnarlier on 2nd viewing. unbelievable.
im pretty sure ive never seen him skate before today, now he has my soty vote
-

Surprised less people are talking about this. Santa Cruz pro part’s bangers were in an Emerica commercial that came out the day before. Who shit the bed on that one lol
-
Trick that stuck out to me the most was Pace doing a high boardslide on a parking garage ledge and then mute grab transfer off the floor and into a bank far below. So fucked.
The Winkowski ho-hos got fairly boring and the sequence shots of him doing a handstand for too long made me laugh too. Still enjoyed his skating though, and was shocked at the trick he pulled on the concrete sculpture with the big drop.
-
I've only watched RP's part so far, and it was fucked up. Wow.
-
This was cool as shit.
Wasn't mad at any of it. Pace's part was gorgeous stuff. Some heavy skating on stupid spots.
Anything else been done on that cowboy hat?
-

Things have been done in cowboy hats before. Going to guess a classic either Tobin or Sturt photo.
-
I thought the whole thing was sick. Pace hit some of the gnarliest handrails I've ever seen and Winkowski did some really dope shit. His switch front shuv and fakie hard stuck out. I agree that the excessive handplant schtick got pretty old but his hat selection made up for it.
Also, you have a small dick if u don't like shaped boards.

The next Woodward "Mano a Mano" thing should simply be an arm wrestling contest with Erick Winkowski.

Trying to be all hellride with the title
I guess it's from a Salba graphic in the 80s, but I'll always know it from Rothmeyer's Foundation ad and the little scuffle it caused. Definitely a throwback title though

Hensley, with Sturt looking like he just got done skydiving.
-
That Pace dude is out there hillbombin rails.
Also, thought I was going crazy about all the reused parts with extra shots till I read about the Emerica thing. Thought I was just having massive Deja Vu. If they were independent parts it'd be huge! Give a Santa Cruz dude SOTY.
-
Can someone tell me who Maurio is? Dude did a clean af full speed bump to noseblunt nollieflip out on a bench at 7:10. If you only get one clip, that's a pretty dope clip to get.

Unfortunately the prototypical SC pro is an exceptional talent with milk toast personality, and this is coming from a Maurio / Asta fan.

I just know of Maurio and root for him bc he’s my local’s pride and joy. He’s definitely talented

I liked the everyone gets a trick section. Good to see Tom Knox has still got it.

i know it's a high skill level trick but already getting tired of seeing long feeble grinds

Yea after seeing one it’s objectively impressive and subjectively dull

holy shit that last part was absolutely fucked
-
holy shit that last part was absolutely fucked
Ender has to be one of the heaviest handrail tricks ever done.
-
Rob's part was sick but why does emerica want him? They already have Kevin Baekkel.
-
Maurio McCoy’s apparent Indy Stage 4 and lavender eS shoes combination in that clip was pretty visually jarring for some reason
-
Hand rail skating was gnarly, is it just me or does he look outta place trying to do flip tricks and lines ?
Worst style lol
-
I for one am still a fan of Winkowski's handplant endeavors. The oververt andrecht on that full pipe thing was particularly fucked. Also the fakie footplant tailgrab thing over the sharp corner at Tigard park was insane, that thing is terrifying in person.
-
Wowzers. Looks like Soty material to me.

what I thought too. Never heard of that guy Pace before, where's he from?
As for Winkoski, I loved everything in his part....but the hohos. So 50 % of his part? nah just kidding love that dude's attitude, even if I would never ride his board. I rode those boats in the 80s, not gonna go back now, I suck enough without needing a handicap.
Only disappointments in this: Dressen footie very short, no Wooten part. and is Wooten going the Biebel route? He looked even more buff than in the Mano a mano vids...

This was awesome, I always forget that the SC team is stacked. Wasn't expecting Tom Knox too, I didn't know he still skated.

Me too, I think the gimmick still works for him and the fact that he fakie hardflips on those boards is hilarious.
Pace is a madman.

He posted something about his Achilles was messed up pretty bad and he couldn’t get clips. I think when he can’t skate, he goes to the gym. He’s stacked a lot of injuries recently.

i definitely support winkowski shaped boards and handplants. all of that looks really fun to me!
and yeah the noseblunt nollieflip was flawless. his feet had to be perfectly set up in the slide, and then he caught and rotated it back so quickly.

Well Emerica is shitting the bed as a brand so...
Pace skated spots that look like they would be horrible even on cruiser wheels. I'll likely rewatch some day but did he have a single line? Not to detract, most of the rail tricks were inconceivable, just curious in retrospect.
Did I miss Kevin Braun?

What a disappointing video.
How does Maurio not have a part, but has the time to kick it with that “local joe” kook and start his own YouTube.
Eric’s skating is gross, he’s touching every gross thing with his hands that he probably never washes and I don’t like it. Ho hos and handstand variations should be a one off novelty, not a career move.
The Aussie rail king of crosslock was ok, but fairly boring, even those smiths are a version of crosslock smith it seems. It’s acceptable, sure, but it’s not astheicly pleasing. Whoever said “soty” I hope your trolling. Also the music in that part was terrible so I’m sure most of you loved it.
I liked seeing Guzman still going for it though.

This Stache O’Grady fella is probably my SOTY. I’m sick of all the same big names being floated for the award each year. It’s why TFunk shoulda won - he really went off last year, sponsors be damned. Tom Knox deserves it on a “career achievement” level I suppose, and maybe more parts on the way soon will change how I feel… but Bobby Pace blew me away with this footy. He skates with so much control and lands everything proper. My jaw was on the floor for most of it. He is what Phelper’s award was all about.

Phelps himself admitted he gave it for “services rendered”. Pace is wayy too under the radar to get it already. Foy had the shortest career before winning it, but he was everywhere for that year preceding it where he became a Name. I don’t think Rob Pace has quite sunk through as a name to the vast majority at all
-
Santa Cruz were the best at doing vids in a not too far away past.I ain't psyched about this one cause it's too mainstream shit. But in fact that's is just another vid among tons of others.he have a huge importance in the history and seems like these past years they're not honouring this heritage.Perfect exemple is that stupid Pokemon series.
