Title: Mounting mic and light on a HMC/HPX/HVX

Hi, I’m struggling to find a way to mount both my mic and a light on my HMC. Obviously the light goes on top but my mic won’t fit in the standard mic holder of the HMC. Should I get one of those triple cold shoe extensions? It feels like the camera would be so unbalanced if I put the mic to the side too far. How do you mount everything?

The built-in mic is great though. If you're not into the sound I suggest you try EQing it to your liking in post.

I glued this to the side of where the mic connector goes for this reason once.

What if you got one of the side mic holders and then used the shoe mount on the handle for the light?

Not sure if the light will clear the mic bracket holder, kinda depends on how your light mount/hot shoe is.  It would have to clear the mic bracket holder.
