I haven't been this stoked too watch a padded up man dance on the coping since Colin McKay. Dude really out here doing the damn thing at 55 years old. Respect. The first blunt over the channel was my favorite part.
Homies legends section was really cool too. Give you hope yer bones won't be dust by the time your that age.
-
This is the most times I haven’t seen Tony Hawk on the air in a part but it’s still amazing video part with creative body vairial and big spin, rotation moves. And I finally saw cab do something other than 50-50 in footy this year..
-
Never been a THawk fan but there were some great lip combos there. Backsmith to R n R board slide over the channel was pretty epic. Schroeder used to do them but the way Hawk snapped that one into position was perfect.
-
So gnarly.
70% or more of this was NBD, right?
-
he always has surprisingly graceful style on the super technical lip tricks
-
Alley-oop halfcab to 5-0 on the extension table was fucked up. So much could go wrong if your wheels went on top. Pop shuv to back smith, back 180 nosegrind revert, and crook fakie line were really sick too. I like tech-coping Tony. Let’s not forget the dude broke his femur like a year and a half ago, crazy. (obviously he’s got the money to afford a quick recovery but still dude is over 50) Cameos from the other legends was a nice touch too
-
This week we had a corporate onsight and Tony Hawk did a personalized video message that was super detailed. It was kinda trippy to see but that dude is getting that bag big time. I can't hate on Tony at this point he's just another league of superstar but is also just a nice dude.
-
This is great.
-
Gotta respect Tony going out there and pushing himself to create new tricks and film a part.
Just when I think I've hit my limit of watching him cash-in with commercial posts for every possible product and such, he does something like this and I'm a fan again. The risk-reward ratio (financially and mainstream social-capital speaking) for a project like this is terrible. The incentive is pretty much all for personal skate-stoke. Props, Tony.
-
Trying to wrap my head around that he produced that at 55 years of age after his leg injury and got the whole Bones Brigade legends to have guest tricks.
And it was full of tricks I never seen before.
The goat of goats
-

front crook to fakie got me juiced.
-
Some very cool lip tricks in here. 360 power slide 5-0 fakie thing, back smith to board, 180 nosegrind across the channel. Really liked the way he did that front crook fakie also. Solid send off
-
That was awesome
-
Harvey Birdman still has it, insane coping skill.
-
Well he is SOTY in my book. This part would be epic for anyone but for Tony being 55 is just unreal.
-
55 and aging like fine wine. Sick to see Tony still going after it

some of those footplant to grind/slides over the channel were absolutely mind melting. insane part from the legend.
-
Insane to film such a part following a serious injury and re-injury. 55 is looking great on you Tony!
-
liked the ultravox too
-
Tony should have zero haters. Dude has been made for 20+ years and still pushes himself to skate at a high level. Not many can or will be ever able to say the same.
-
Got a tad emotional in the kinda corny bones brigade section, a real watermark for the passing of time. Say what you want about his cheesyness, but Tonys had a wild & long career & to even bother going this hard is some real skate rat shit and I fuckin' love it.
-
Loved it
also Rodney :) ;D
-
Tony still killing it! Respect!

40+?
-

Yeah, those were nuts. So easy to get tangled up in yourself or board, your balance and weight to be off slightly and for shit to go wrong, especially over the channel.
-
This should probably shut down the "Best Older Skaters" thread in the Useless Wooden Toy Banter.
-
Anyone think his style is better than it was in the 80s or even since the 900 days? Some swaggy arms in this tbh
-
Boss Hawk didn't have to ever put out another part but he did. Mad respect.
-
He didn't even have to do that, but he did that.
Nothing but respect
-
Is there another sport where 6 year old children and 60 year old men can do the same crazy shit? Makes you wonder if it's less about skill and more about being willing to throw your body around
-
Vert wouldn't be my favorite type of skating to watch, but I am in awe at Tony's drive at 55 years old.
Still learning new tricks and pushing himself; inspirational!
-
Inspiring. Gonna try to do every possible trick from this part in a really small miniramp
-
Fun stuff in there. Hard to imagine Birdman hanging it up. Doesn't seem to be slowing down at all.
-
I have a terrible feeling of loss after watching this
-
He didn't even have to do that, but he did that.
Nothing but respect
That’s the best part. He has nothing to promote here and nothing to prove.
-
This is all new footage? or just the one trick?
-
what a very good boy
-
This is all new footage? or just the one trick?
I think all relatively new like at least since covid. No idea if some of those lakai clips are pre vans or after.
-
absolute legend. this part got me so hyped. tony is the fucking man goddamn he snapped

Yeah, I was just confirming short of the BV 50-50, it's all pre injury stuff right?
-

Yes. Same.
-
Going out on the highest note. It’s hard to imagine anyone else putting out a swan song part this epic.
I was actually listening to some other music on my headphones while watching this on my phone and One Vision from Queen came on when the part was just one banger after another.

I'm not sure how to tell what's new or old. Seems like if it was just that one trick left to do he'd of just put it out without it. Only thing I can tell that's different is some tricks the coping just has birdhouse repeated and some birdhouse then skate light
-
50 or 55 years old, this is inspiring in any case
-
nerd is still killing it
somehow i find it hard to beleave this is his last part. there is no way hes not gonna document any more skateboarding.
-
wildly insane tricks in this fr fr and also I'm not crying you are!!!
-
This should probably shut down the "Best Older Skaters" thread in the Useless Wooden Toy Banter.
for real. Who else is doing NBD's and learning new shit at 55?
I can't believe his recovery after the femur. also...madonna to switch crooked??? gonna have to rewatch this.
-
Loved the frontside grab over the channel to smith grind at 1:12
-
Last tricks in Lakais haha
-
Bam should put out his final part and call it "Apes You Leave Behind".
She'll be so pissed.
-
i might have choked up
-
don't care for birdman as a person and wasn't that much into him as a vert skater, but those were some wild stunts.
Loved the front hurricane over the channel.
impressive to pull this off at that age.
-

He's gonna reinvent himself as a curb guy
-
Hard not to shed a tear here.
-
Amazing, I love you Tony. That hurricane over the channel in the first couple of tricks was the best, proper ollie into it and everything.
-
That was class. Crazy that he is 55, gives me hope!
-

Is it me, or is it weird to anyone else that Tony spends way more time talking about the legacy of the Bones Brigade and not the board company he started and rode for over the past 30 years? If you look at all the people who have ridden for Birdhouse over the years (Reynolds, Kirchart, Berra, Greco, Klein, McCrank, Santos), the lineup is arguably as heavy and not arguably more influential to the modern landscape of street skating than the Bones Brigade team.
-
No one asks him…..
That said, he talks pretty regularly about the lean days at Birdhouse…..
My impression is his rehab is going just ok and for himself and everyone else, he doesn’t want to carry on the insane expectations. He’s now showing us the way on how to walk away from it…..
-
The world needs a Tom Green story.
My theory is that he's pretty hands off with Birdhouse as far as running the team, and just rides for them and owns the majority of the stake.
-
I interviewed Tom Green when Freddy Got Fingered dropped, he was super cool, knew what Concrete Powder was gave me the advice of….‘don’t marry anyone famous….’
I’m sure T-Hawk has some better ones….he talks about a lot of shit on his podcast, but you are correct, not a lot of talking about the birdhouse team…he seems to know his audience…
-
^also gotta keep Ellis somewhat engaged. Start talking about street skating and pros he doesn't know from the 90s or even worse the 00s and that show will fall apart
-
front crook to fakie got me juiced.
BIRD MAN

Yeah but the Bones Brigade was his childhood / golden years. Start of a sport, he’s basically on top of the world for years with the best team along side him. And he loves Stacy too. Must be wild to reflect on. I reckon birdhouse would have some hard memories.
-
yah, it would have been sick if they had spliced in a bunch of footage with Jaws raving, Elliot Sloan skating a mega ramp by himself, Lizzie drinking bubble tea and David Loy.....and Clint Walker.......
Fuck you for making me look up who even rides for Birdhouse....
-
I think part of it could be that Tony is more comfortable flaunting something that he was a part of, versus something he started.
Flaunting doesn’t seem like the right word but… I’m not sure what else to use.
-
It’s bookends to his career as a filmed pro skater. I love it.
-
The shit he comes up on those lip tricks are mind boggling in general let alone in your 50s. I don’t care if he never intentionally films again but I hope he keeps putting out clips on ig or something if he’s gonna be this creative on his way out. Tonys the man , skateboarding is so cool.

I think you have to look at it more from a "he still knows where he came from" point of view.
Everything he did in skateboarding after his time on Powell stems from that short era in his life.
That's what shaped him as a skater, nterepeneur etc. and I think this was just his way of showing that.
The part itself is absolutely mindblowing. The fact that he kind of "reshaped" himself into a vertskater that does more technical liptricks is pretty insane in itself. But the guy comes up with NBD's at 55 years of age!
You just can't deny the greatness here.
Much respect.
