Not trying to be a hater, you know I love you BG, but man I hate that McCartney song
I can see why it's popular, but I just find the whole song so repetitive and vapid
I have a pretty big soft spot for some Xmas music, that Frank Sinatra album of holiday classics was the main one played at family parties when I was younger
Oh Little Town of Bethlehem is one of my fav classic Xmas songs, and I love Bright Eyes, so obviously I'm big into this:

This is a great archive, played a few of em at my family Christmas eve party last year, and everyone was into it:

Basically a collection of the holiday playlists of Kmart & equivalent stores, ranging from the 70s to the 90s
Each one is a lil time capsule of what was hot at the time as far as holiday music goes, and even the ones with with generic instrumental/muzak/sound-alikes of songs, still have a lot of charm to them

I also hate that song but real ones know Christmas is about suppressing your default feelings in exchange for those of comfort & joy (comfort & joy)

Guess I'll be the first one to say it
Christmas Music Blows
I'm not one to get tilted about it, play some classics at the office Christmas party, that's fine - but I could easily live my life without hearing another Christmas track ever again.
Like why the FUCK do artists like Scott Weiland make a Christmas album. Why. Do we really need to hear that?
Call me a Scrooge or Grinch, really don't care. It's just really grating to me how capitalism bastardized this once natural celebration of the season's change into selling bits of plastic and dogshit music.
Lets light a tree on fire and celebrate making it through another winter by getting blitzed and laying pipe with our lover(s).

This is like an Indy rider posting "Thunders Suck" in the Thunder thread. :)
