What is this, a Mount Rushmore for ants?!

I’ll let y’all wrangle over who the other three heads will be, but for me & mine, we’re putting Matt Quiggle up there without hesitation.
Those that have witnessed the wizard in action are already nodding in agreement. It is my sincere hope that the rest of you will be blessed by his magic one day; your lives will be better for it.

I remember in '95 nobody wanted to skate with me because I preferred to skate curbs
in 2004 I told a friend that was in the industry that "I was the first person to nose slide" a new curb and he was like "and you tell people this?"
Anyways there's already a thread for this subject

I would’ve skated them with you. Still skated gaps ledges and rails but slaps were always in play when there was a good curb around.
Ricky Winsor, Snaggle, and Curtis. SSD iykyk.

abe bethel is the subject of a jenkem video called "the best curb skater in the world" or something like that so he's up there
https://youtu.be/TCdnpPZmUQU?si=9NoSoSbz8miK-xxe
also i started following him on ig after watching it and he seems to skate zero decks and wears a lot of zero merch so the idea of a strictly curb guy repping zero so hard is sick
-
They also make him a special board with an 8" nose to make those pop-over's easier.

Pretty sick Jamie Thomas is hooking him up with a custom shape. Abe is definitely up there for one of the best contemporary curb skaters

8.75x33 with a 13.75wb. Probably pretty funky for anything except slappies
I don't think he's been mentioned yet but Ryan Townley had a sick slappy part that sticks out to me

I guess I gotta go see what Kellen’s been up to. Jeremy daclin does some fucked up shit on curbs and it’s inspiring.

All mine have been listed I suppose, but I'll explain why I think each one is special to me
James Alby is doing stuff no one else is doing really besides daewon (daewon posted this IMPOSSIBLE kink front blunt https://www.instagram.com/p/C4BVv9HJfan/ ) cannot believe the precision this man has.
Abe Bethel is definitely really good he goes really really fast and has his own kinda lane, kinda does stuff no one else is doing... I wouldnt say others arent doing the tricks but they arent doing them the way he is. kind of pioneered his own style i would say. insanely aggressive.
Natas is the OG and one of my favorite but Jef Hartsel really took it to another level imo, way longer grinds
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O718bjrZwA4
Brian Lotti pioneered a lot of the way we approach a lot of the more difficult tricks as well... I love that Now and Later part. I have really tried to be able to do every single trick in that part as time goes on. I feel like that is how you establish a solid fundamental of skateboarding by learning all that stuff.
Kellen James and Jamie Palmore have been some of my favorite to watch as far as implementing a super insane technical skill to curbs. doing tricks no one else is doing really. the types of curbs they have in SD are freaking insane. I suspect there are lot of NO PARKING zones in SD, so the whole damn town is just painted red. Ronnie Creager hangs on this insane technical level as well where he can just do whatever he wants.
Jeremy Daclin is INSANELY skilled. you can just tell this guy was pro af. so unsuspecting too. its wild you can just see the raw experience in the way he handles a fs feeble.
Spanky hasnt been shouted out and he is freaking godlike. his ender on the last emerica part with the switch slappy up that 4 foot wall was unreal.
-
Lucero
Gavin
Lotti
Abe Bethel
honorable mention - Justin Strubing
-
Lotti
Gavin
Sargent
Puig

I forgot about Jamie Palmore! That guy is fucking sick. I’ve been to a bunch of the spots he skated in videos and most of them are harder than they look.
We do have some good curbs here- red and usually slanted.
Spanky is another one. Although half the time he’s skating a wall like a curb. Dudes the best.
-
Knox
Gonz
Natas
Koston believe it or not. Koston is the highest style in curb ism to me. That off whites shit at the berries was so G.
Dan Perterka comes to mind too
The Kid and John as first and second stand ins
-
1. Natas
2. Lucero
3. Daewon
4. Dane Brady
(Honorable mention: Eric Dressen fucked up those Venice curbs in Speed Freaks)
-
Dane Brady and that fakie backside (front blunt) that Heath does

Natas
Tom Knox OG
Daewon
Pick 'em on the 4th spot with a bunch of other dudes.
-
John Lucero- Without him there is no modern curb skating as we know it.
Jef Hartsel- Rubbish Heap part is a treasure to this day and he’s still ripping at nearly 60.
Tom Knox- Speed Freaks part is a five star experience that still gives me chills.
Danny Sargent- If he’s not on Mount Rushmore then surely there’s a statue of him on the site where the Safeway curb used to be.
-
Danny Sargent
Julian Stranger
Jason Adams
Jeff Hartzel
Ricky Barnes
John Lucero
O
Ricky Winsor
Tim Knox (og)
-
Hartsel has a small part in The Curb Crushers "Bludworth" video (I'm too old to post it). Simple tricks but showcases his style better than previous videos.

Highly recommend that video
-
I don't wanna bump that local actually so I took it away and remembered
Dan Cosnigen. I'm not sure if he's been mentioned. Probably not because YouTube edits aren't worth as much as video parts. I feel like he's got great style and excellent technique.
He's very structured yet smooth.

@Dark Knight yeah Gav killed it at those Venice curbs.
Not really on a Mt Rushmore level but Dennis Busenitz did a fun curb centered video. He skates kinda fast:
http://youtu.be/8KkqiZdqdFg?si=K1854wCuqlmxuo7z
-
Roger Bagley should be mentioned
For curb hall of fame? You trippin
-
Barker Barrett

-
John Lucero
Ricky Winsor
Barker Barrett
Tom Knox (Santa Cruz)

I think it might be MJ. I feel like I had tape with him doing lipslide tre on a yellow bank teller curb earl. Big pants little wheels era.
Might've been someone else but it's burnt into my mind
-
if you can ollie up one you get an honorable mention.

Myself, because I ripped a curb on the side of my house for a decade.
