It’s pretty cool that he’s getting named and isn’t just there as a clothes hangar.
-
Good for him. Maybe Atiba shot these?
-
I fuck with that. J.crew has some great stuff.
-
What an absolutely luxurious head of hair.
-
Yes! Happy to see Spanky's continued success. Love his trick selection, seems like a great guy too. Long may it last.

Yep, their jackets and button ups are solid. Hope Spanky is getting a nice check from them.

Would be sick if true and if he was on LRAB rockin those crocodile loafers 💋👌. Prefer this look over shitty uncut mop top sun faded hoodie and diaper filled baggy pants type skater
Irks me that the nine club all wear hats (especially indoors) like dude you’re grown men go to a barber

All that lotion

Hey man leave the hat wearers alone not everyone gets blessed with spanly hair and trust me I’ve tried the lotion trick he talked about on 9club
-
good for him, that's a solid fit
-
J. Crew is a brand I could lowkey see developing a skate line. I mean the guy who used to design at 'preme and owns noah is their menswear designer, no?
-
For the last 10 years I've pretty much exclusively worn J Crew button ups, I bought a few maybe a year ago and the sizing had changed and I was sad to have to return them. I found myself between sizes similar to how I am with Uniqlo's shirts. Stoked for Spanky though, he looks good in that gear.
-
He looks like a professor in that first pic. Good for him. He’s cool.
-
Imagine how many horrible skaters jcrew could've chosen for this but they picked Spanky, fuckin dope. Also sick they featured his etch a sketch skills

Yea Brenden Babazine or something like that

He is, but that’s pretty contrary to their brand image and they’ve def been trying to get back to the classic J Crew image after they almost went kaput
-
Love Spanky and J Crew!
-
I better not see a JCrew x Emerica collab. LOL.
But stoked to see he's making money from a dope company.

We got some weird judgemental opinions up in this thread.
Some of you care way too much what other people wear.
-
J. Crew fleece-lined chinos are the best pants for winter skating.

Prepping him for Noah.

I don't get either the clothing obsession either. The Elijah Berle thread tangents go way too far.

I get it to some degree, but the personal investment aspect is weird. It’s like some here feel actual emotions over it.
The Elijah one I don’t get, just simply as at this point he’s been rolling with that look for years now. You’d think everyone would be used to it by now.
Anyways, Spanky cleans up well and looks like a respectable gentleman.

Definitely a Chris Black pick. And a good one at that. Spanly is a handsome fella.
-
I skate in j crew all the time. It’s a good value when you get it at 60-75% off.
-
Today I showed the barber pics of Spanly for my haircut. Can anyone fill me in on the lotion technique and what kind of cigarettes he smokes?

The investment is quite odd alright, well put.
It's unbalanced as well; there isn't enough praise when skaters dress nicely. Just seems like an easy route for complaining.
-
I felt like my worlds were colliding when I saw this today. Been rocking J crew for a while, just not the pants because I can't afford to fall in chinos that cost that much. As others mentioned, if you ever want their stuff just wait for it to inevitably go on sale

America’s Next Thot Model

J.Crew?? Nah, J.Krew!!
-
J Crew sweaters are all I’ll wear for work. A lovely brand. Anyone on here venture into the factory stuff? I’ll do shopping at both as there’s one fairly close to me.

I watched the 9 club stop and chat for an hour to discover it's nevea creme, heavier than the body lotion that I already put in my hair. They did NOT discuss cigarettes yet.

He better get Greco involved in this... Jim actually dresses like that when he skates

I’m prolly the only one but I still want to know what happened back when greco was making hella posts in a yellow dickies crewneck and ordering coffee with egg rolls, but claiming he was on Dickies proper, and didn’t want to be affiliated with dickies skateboarding.
Then saying dickies played him and he was now part of the Walmart exclusive powerhouse Wrangler for like a week. Then a few days later that post was gone and it was the beginning of him selling his used pants.
Before he took the post down I asked what was good, ame included “and what really happened with the neck tattoo?” To my surprise, despite taking the post down Greco DMed me like a man, but only addressed the necktat.
For anybody wondering, he claimed he had 11 laser appointments in one year and that it’s not “all the way gone” but didn’t elaborate.
was that the last tattoo he got before actually getting off drugs? Such a gnarly and dark tattoo to remove a year after you got it.
Completely unrelated: Anybody remember that kid at tompkins that used to skate with a surgical mask on 15 years before Covid bc he was covering up a tattoo on his face he didn’t want people to see? This was deadass like 2007/2008… I hope that dude is good wherever he ended up.

You read my mind

I had a J. Crew Loro Piana suit I bought in my early 20’s that I wish I didn't size out of.
Would be sick if J. Crew still did Loro Piana suits. The quality of the clothes overall has gone down since I worked there in ‘05.
I also wish I would've kept skating the Stan Smith’s and Samba’s we carried with my discount.

Looks like J Crew are leaning into a more Aime Leon Dore vibe since they came back from the brink with the random celebrity models etc, seems fair enough seeing as ALD is just more expensive J Crew/Polo. Can't knock J crew gear though, always seems nice quality and fit and ebay/thrift stores are full of it if you're on a budget.

I too would love to know more about the short term Neck Tattoo + removal. That iteration of Greco is one of the most interesting.
That's such an insane amount of pain and a pretty extreme tattoo in general to commit to then get removed so quickly afterwards. 11 Laser sessions too, fuck. No idea how long he actually had it but it felt like months.
The Dickies thing I wasn't aware of any fuckery there but I remember the used pants thing. That was strange even for him.

Could see him on NB
