Ah fuck.

My stomach just dropped. I first met Tim in 1995. He looked like a miniaturized version of Jamie Thomas in Welcome to Hell. Long hair tucked behind the ears, cargo pants and thermal henleys. I used to see him every weekend at Hackettstown skate park. Him, Andre Paige and Jerry (never knew last name) were always together. Tim was really good even then and I believe he rode for Small Empire a now defunct North Jersey skate shop.
Last time I saw him was 2002 at Love Park. He was tall and amazing on a skateboard. Tim was always happy to see me even though we didn’t hang out. I never felt good enough at skateboarding to bother calling him up even though he didn’t seem to care about that.
I remember he had cancer 10 years ago or so. I’m sad to hear of his passing.

A familiar east coast name from the mid 30's 411 VM and first Static video.

RIP Tim. Always one of the best dudes to have at the session.

RIP can’t tell you how many times I watched that Abstract video growing up.
-
so sad. My heart goes out to his family and friends.

Tim was my skate camp counselor at small empire. Taught me how to axle stall and boardslide flatbars and probably some other tricks I can't remember, all the fundamentals. I remember him always being the nicest dude (to shithead kids like me) and he absolutely ripped.
It's really hard to explain through text, but Tim left a lasting impression on me in so so many ways, beyond skating.
RIP Tim

This news is a gut punch.
RIP Tim & condolences to his fam.

Well this sucks.
I always thought of Tim as that Philly head who I wanted to see more of. I'd watch him in montages skating Love with all the greats and it made me wish for him to get that big break and start dropping full parts.
Thanks Tim for what you did provide. Rest in peace.

Countless 90s sessions in NJ with Tim before he jumped to Philly. He was from the town next to mine. Taught me smith grinds despite being way younger than me. Was texting with him a few months ago about the owner of Small Empire who passed. Loved this kid.
-
Damn. A really tough month for skateboarding. RIP.
-
Fuck cancer. RIP
-
What terrible news. Condolences to his friends and family. My f/s nollie heels are for Tim from here on out.
-
So so sad. Tim and Celina would come by the local ledge/curb spot and take turns skating & watching the baby and having the best time. My thoughts go out to her and their families.

RIP

What the fuck? Shit week, rest easy and condolences to his family and friends.

Rest in peace and prayers to all his friends/family

A nice guy with a great selection of tricks. RIP to a Philly OG.

As a young father this hits home especially hard. I can't imagine what his partner and child are going through. Apparently he passed away on a job site and I can't not say how incredibly fucked up I find it that, if this was a work accident, they're having to do a gofundme when over here in Europe I can at least trust in the fact that if my job kills me, my family will be somehow looked after through insurance and Union board. This is the type of tragedy that should push all of you in the US towards health care and unionisation.
-
Gosh dang it. Love Tim’s skating. And his happy lil skating family is so dope too. This is too much, too harsh.
^^ Thank you for the gofundme link. It’s the least I can do to show some tangible appreciation & I’m glad it up blew so quickly.
To borrow from Natas: “Too young, too soon, too sad.”

Legendary Dude. RIP OG

I created an account on here just to say what an amazing person Tim was. His skating spoke for itself and it's nice to see all of the Pals giving that so much love. Tim was also a great friend, partner, carpenter, and most importantly father. He loved Waylon so much and it was really beautiful seeing Tim, Celina, and Waylon just being this rad amazing family together. Celina has been really vocal about telling all of her friends to make sure they are taking care of their health especially their heart health. So make sure you do everything you can to get your regular check ups (unfortunately not always easy in this country).

Celina and Tim's friends are holding a celebration of Tim's life at Ann Van Skatepark in Hillsborough NJ on May 11th. Would be great to see some Slap Pals out there.
