Who has historically had some of the best and worst hats in skating?

Off the bat (aside from Lutzka's fedora, low hanging fruit) I immediately think of anyone who rocked too many 5 panel hats as worst. I'd also be curious to see what people have to say for the best hat game

semi-related - just watching tampa and wondering how much a monster hat/beanie is worth (to the wearer - not to buy obviously)? the four heads in this centre of this screen shot each have them - they're all at different career heights and obviously it's worth all of their whiles to wear them.

how impacted would pro skating be without monster (financially speaking obviously again)?

- Jason Jessee. 1. The beanie is too big. 2. It's usually in a hideous bright orange. 3. He pulls it way over his eyebrows. 4. He puts a hat on top of that. 5. That hat is a trucker hat. 6. That trucker hat is worn backwards. 7. He's 54. 8. He's a cunt.

Others
- Lutzka. You've let him off the hook too easy there. If you wear a fedora as long as he did, you deserve to be called out for it forever.
- Zion Wright. He had a vizor phase if I remember correctly. But he soon dropped that shit, and he seems like a nice guy, so if it were up to me his record may be wiped clean after all these years.
- Nyjah. Try something else than the blandest of bland trucker hats for fucks sake. Even when he doesn't need to wear his awful monster energy one he chooses something that's basically a copy.
- Koston. I fucking hated that bobble beanie phase, and Koston pushed that shit for a while. Plus I hated that bright orange beanie he wore for years.

- Muska. Red hat, tilted slightly, matching the jersey. Simple.

Others:
- Reynolds: He combines necessity (baldness) with tastefulness. I wanted that navy-red Atlanta Braves hat so bad. Still do come to think of it.
- Foy. At first you think his greasy, flimsy, brownish Red Bull hat is the worst thing he could possibly wear, but when you see how thin-haired and balding he is that hat suddenly becomes a very wise and respectable move.
- Gallant. I've never been more weirded out by a clip because they're not wearing a hat or beanie than with Gallant. He's just synonymous with hat-wearing. I don't always like his hats, but I'm never offended by any. I can even forgive him the bobble beanie for his kf back noseblunt at clipper.

Lucas Puig in Lacoste Girolle’s really made me want to get a 5 panel when I was watching Fully Flared on the daily basis… I think he’s the first one I remember wearing those before it became a plague.

Russ Milligan always had the sickest caps. he recently posted a picture with a buffalo sabres starter cap that was so nice. i nerd caps quite a bit and order old stuff I find on ebay from the US. Very expensive hobby sending old caps to europe with taxes, delivery expenses and tariffs etc. I always check the caps he was wearing since he is my favorite cap pro out of all of them. Dude knows fresh hats.

I never liked the military flat cap trend that ran for a few years I think around 2006-2009 or so. Lots of people rocked them but it wasn't my thing.

Best hat game, randomly who comes to mind is Kevin Coakley, I remember he was running snapback caps around 2011-2013 or so when they were first making a resurgence. I might be off with the dates, but it was when things were shifting from New Era caps back to more form-fitting snapbacks. I always loved Starter caps.

Any hat-related company within skateboarding is an automatic Worst, a la Neff and Official. Remember that Brixton started out with every old timey style under the sun and Melcher then pivoted real quick.

Robbie Gangemi has a great head for hats. Everytime I saw him he either had a classic fitted wool Boston Sox hat or some sort of fly bicycle hat a la Puig.

Jason Adam’s has always looked great in a trucker hat. as far as his other choices in headwear (newsie/Irish cap, and fedora), I don’t think look so great, but he pulls those off better than others who have tried
