Recent topic asked how long a board lasts. Really good question. But very subjective. Objectively, How many boards total have you ridden? I guess to clarify, how many boards did you set up to skate until you left it behind, in any capacity?
Years ago I moved away from my original home, and my parents were moving, I was so upset my dad threw away about 100 broken boards I kept. he didn't understand the importance of the girlfriend issues on grip tape, or the stickers, etc, or just the fact I kept junk. . .
I think i have set up 300 boards over time for me to skate in some capacity.

i'm on my 109th deck, i have all of em written down
i've set up more than that because i worked at a skate shop for almost 3 years but 109 boards for me

I've been skateboarding close to 40 years. Never quit. I probably need to find some trees to apologize to.

After 16 years of skating, I would imagine it's in the 100s range. Kept the majority of my snapped/retired boards at my parent's place but probably gave away 10-20 boards in my HS days to friends that didn't mind skating old ass decks.

ALL of them.
Well... Nearly all of them. My very 1st bloard was a hand me down from my older brother & he had bought it at a garage sale, gently used & already assembled, in the late 70s.
That is to say: aside from that G&S FibreFlex, I have set up every board I've ever put together for personal use, and a few bonus set-ups for others as well.
Been skating consistently, barring serious injury, since 1982.
I am NOT going to do the math.

1998-2004: ~20 boards
2005-2010: ~30 boards
2010-2020: ~10 boards
2020-2024: ~10 boards
it might be a bit more than that, its hard to remember though. i skate boards down to nothing and dont really mind it at all, there was only about 5 years i was getting a new board ever 2-3 months kind of thing. i dont like the idea of all that garbage left behind :'(

At one point I had a list of every board I could remember skating. It was over a 100 decks and that was 2005. I’m guessing that by now I’ve set up and skated well over 500 decks. Mostly DLX boards. If you add all of those with all of the trucks and wheels I’ve skated I’d say I’ve probably paid for DLX’s rent and staff salary for at least one collective month

In the past two years?...maybe once every 1st of da month. It dwindles down past the 2 years. Been skating since '05. Under 200, over 100.
