Is there a thread for Truck Manufacturers?
No, but in the same way people had asked about wheel manufacturers, the list is either well hidden or very short.
Sure some places have their own production facilities, but others seem to keep the actual location or information very much under wraps.
Indy - NHS - facility in China, ex Ermico in SF.
Venture and Thunder - DLX - moved down to Mexico, maybe part of BBS or something similar, also ex Ermico SF.
Ace - always been made in China.
Almost every other truck manufacturer now is in China too, but exactly where, it is not quite as well known as woodshops.
Maybe Excel also makes trucks?
Did DSM also make trucks and other things all under the same roof there too?
I just don't know.

Lurpiv 2.0 will also be out of China, correct? Same factory as Ace?

I think it’s Paris trucks that makes: Ace, Royal and soon to be Lurpiv….
Venture and Thunder, there is definitely some degree of assembly at BBS…..not sure if the whole operation is there…

on assembly, if I remember correctly Indy hangers have been made in the east for over 15yrs but the baseplates where made in the US. Having them assembled in the US allowed them to claim, made in USA.
This isn't exclusive to skateboarding. Santa Cruz bikes did it too as the frames are made in the east and assembled in Cali.

I have a buddy who I see at the park during summer months that's originally from Cali who grew up close friends with Joey Pulsifer and confirmed he owns Paris trucks and that's how Ace was able to get their AF1 made at the same factory once he got involved. I think the classics are poured at a different china factory, though. The grainy-ness and finish of the classics is totally different. Royals have a similar finish but I don't think they're from the same factory as Ace. Would be interesting to see the inside scoop of some of these Chinese foundries and their techniques, if they do gravity cast or injection mold, etc.

There were others out there I recall seeing that I can't find now, but these two are very interesting for different reasons, the old Fausto video for Independent trucks and this 2Hex video (always seems like old mate is struggling to talk) but for the newer process, it is worth watching too.
