Are there any people in skateboarding who's career was a one trick wonder? McGill maybe? But I guess he was on Powell already before he came up with the McTwist. Could any of those big/high ollie champs be called a one trick wonder? Any people who became known only because of a single trick they landed once only to be never heard from again?

But he is talented skater.

Josh Kasper was primarily known for big ollies down shit and admittedly had a limited trick bag.
Stu Kirst is gnarly as fuck but 90% of his footage is ollies, 5050s, and lipslides.
Scott Oster backside slash? Stylish as fuck but the only trick I have ever seen documented on him.

Micah is an underrated legend.
It's crazy how many people didn't get the point of this thread. It's not people who are known for doing one trick multiple different times. It's people who came out of no where, did one difficult trick on one spot and so you'd think they'd be big, but fizzled out after.

Alan "ollie" Gelfand
Great video, I have a funny Alan Gelfand story I figured I would share. I work at a skate shop in a pretty small city in Canada, it's in a bit of a sketchy area so we often get homeless people coming in that used to skate or even sometimes trying to steal shit. Anyways one day this older dude barges in and right away asks me who invented the ollie, I figured he was out of his mind, the way he came in asking was really rude. I actually at the time didn’t even know who invented the ollie lol so I just said I dunno buddy rodney mullen? The guy gave me a dirty look and basically demanded I google the name Alan Gelfand and then he will be back in an hour. It was a weird ass encounter, but nothing really out of the ordinary for me. Once he left I was curious, so I googled it and found out it is Alan Gelfand who is credited with inventing the ollie, he also had a pro board on Powell at some point. Then to my surprise after a google image search it was the fucking dude! He never came back in, unfortunately, but I have told this story to a few friends, and it turns out this has happened to other people that work at skate shops too, and never in a cool way. Alan Gelfands a weird guy.
Perfect time to revive this.
