Title: Polar P9 truck size
Post by: adumb on May 13, 2024, 10:16:01 AM: ANybody riding this shape currently? Just picked one up, thinking about switching trucks from Indy 149 to Ace AF1, just not sure if i should do the 55 or 60.

Board is 8.62 at the widest, probably 8.5 at the front bolts n quite tapered near the tail, maybe 8.25?

Thoughts?

No: although they are of a series, each is a stand alone shape w/ its own plots, characters, etc.

Also, regarding OP's question: have ridden AF1 55s on the P9 & they work/fit fine. My wheels poked out a touch at the back, due to the slight taper, but a good combo regardless.

Sidebar, I almost always ride Polar decks with wheel wells (including P9s) but also the 8.125/8.25 shape as my 'regular' board. Anyone know if they are phasing them out because they don't sell? There seem to be less and less...

Post by: diplodocus on May 14, 2024, 05:57:03 AM: I’d be fine with any 8.5 truck. Little bit of hot rod in the back makes it more stable on the back for grinds while the little bit of magic carpet on the front makes it turn nice.
