Surprised at the amount of Koston footage. He’s still got it.
Also, that last Guy trick is a fucking mind melter. How do you look at that and think “yeah, this is possible”?
-
some really nice clips in this but Nike im BEGGING you to stop focusing on dunks and go back to making simple designed, long lasting shoes. feel like they've only focusing on making the craziest looking shoes and colorways that dont look good as day to day shoes, only in a skate clip from someone on the team. you cant even find good colorways of the GT Blazer on shelves anymore. i've been going the depop/mercari route to find simple colorways
*rant done*

more tanner footage so i'm here for it - his pro for wknd part is up there as one of my favs of the year and i don't even like tech ledge skating that much
-
Every time these come out I am always thinking, “What is Guy going to do for an ender.”
-
Boy Stevie sure really does like doing noseslide nollie flips doesn't he?
-
Good to see Tanner getting some real love from Nike, the guy is the truth.
Those shoes look "meh" though, and that's being generous.

The original Futura Dunks are another story and always remind me of Lewis Marnell in Chichagof, he was so good...

I enjoyed the skating, but did not enjoy the constant switching from 16:9 to 4:3.

I love the look of dunks but damn they cut into my foot right below the ankle so bad. I wish they would make the original GT’s again, the reissue didn’t last as long and has a noticeably bigger sole.

I liked this little edit a lot. So many sick clips. The first Koston clip, the fakie nosegrind by carlos on the rail (!!), fs heel by Guy and the last Guy clip really stood out to me.
The shoe looks like trash though...
-
Kostons nollie back 5-0 salad thing is impressive as fuck for a 50 year old who spends time on the links than the board these days.
Guy is well, guy- the skill level he’s at anymore is just other worldly creative.
-
This edit was pretty solid. It's got that April/Nike SB crispy quality which I've grown to like. Nike edit's always have this thing where the clips are so loopable and iconic, it's hard to explain. I guess the real glory goes to Jason Hernandez though.
Also, these clips bounce between wide and 4/3 pretty fluidly.

yeah, you nailed it. They collected an impressive amount of footage from pro’s that are exciting to see nowadays for a dog shit shoe. Guy, Koston, Malto, Tanner, Georgia, Carlos…
the fact that Jason was recruited to film again kind has me hoping that this could be the preface to a new full length in the works.

much rather have more dunks that actually have decent padding and support than thin bird beak lookin ass blazers with no support in them but that’s just me.

Agree. Just pick one or the other. Maybe the filmmaker was a big fan of Real's 'Since Day One'?

I follow Koston on IG and he def still skates (or is at a park) quite a bit still

This. Also great to see this much 'serious' Koston footage, and Guy delivered as always!

weird seeing stevie not in DC
all he's skating is dunks, for the last 5 years or so. he was skating dunks even when they reissued his DC

I have one pair of Dunks, multiple pairs of Blazers, love that shoe. Some are thin but some are actually beefier than Dunks, it depends.

We've been waiting for the Lisa Frank collab for SO long

dunks have always been ugly to me, and these look awful, but thats a me problem.
video was fun, lots of skaters heavily featured that I wasnt expecting, including tanner. that dude deserves the shine, he killed it for this

Just had DC reissue another Williams OG while he's skating in SBs, not many skaters out there that are getting love from two shoe brands at once (and hopefully getting a good/decent check from both?) another reason why Stevie's goated

That was Carlos. I did notice Koston was riding Ventures tho. Love to see it.

I honestly didn't notice this at all.

Artos back to wearing Nikes after his round of accels petered out

I was honestly surprised when it didn’t go laser

Call me crazy but Jake Anderson and Dustin Dollin have the exact same frontside flip.
Front foot exaggerated back on set up (half up the deck), very open shoulders, quick flick, catch at 75-80 degrees, rotate the rest, land at exactly 180 degrees, shoulders closed with weigh heavily on the back foot, leading arm up and trailing arm comes around. Squirrelly landing but never a tick tack.
Also helps that he’s goofy footed, has curly hair, is generally loud and has fondness for the piss.
This clip wasn’t the greatest example but DYOR and you’ll see what I mean.
**edit**
This is decent example
