Dude had to eventually get off es pro flow and make some real money. I’m surprised he never got picked up by anyone else.
Still idk what the game plan is with these $300 shoes you kids are suppose to just skate in?

This brands very confusing and arguably very stupid and lame

It is just an Olympic brand. By that I mean it’s only supporting skateboarding because it’s an Olympic year. Won’t be around in 2-4 years.
-
Good for him, get that money while you can. Sure eS is a burning ship.
-
eS dropped the ball not putting him fully on. Get that money Maurio.

Why do people think this company has tons of money to pay people? I’m being serious, I really have only heard of this company a few times on here.

This company has investor capitol/co owned by markie mark
the brand is sold at designer stores
The parent company owns a plethera of other Bougie brands, as well as other shit mikey taylor thinks would be cool (like buying up sitting on IP, NFTs, it also looks like they have a company that just buys up really basic domain names)

If they're not getting paid, why join up, especially if you were already getting shoes.

As in, well known actor and perpetrator of hate crimes against Vietnamese and Asian people Marky Mark?

Pretty sure rob pace is skating these shoes too now.
-
brand vibe: money laundering

I peeped their instagram page and the first thing I thought of is that the shoes reminded me of Ice Creams.

Is this brand an android in the Star Wars universe?

Great username and avatar

Why do all the Santa Cruz riders end up with weird sponsors and media presence? Winkowski actually puts out real parts, but McCoy and Asia seem to kinda exist on YouTube mostly and also have quite an eclectic mix of sponsors.

It’s a fashion brand , I’ve only ever seen these shoes on hot LA girls at erewhon.

Tom Asia lowkey a pornstar name
But to answer your question (imo) SC tries to kinda be a one size fits all company that appeals to way too many demographics and in that they lose what makes them have an identity. They’re like Powell that smokes cigarettes
-
Never could I ever
-
I seen these exact same shoes at Goodwill for 15$
-
the shape on that one model is 1,000 times worse than the ice creams

Perfect description. They’re a generic mainstream skate brand with a team. Being “core” isn’t their focus. One thing that bothers me about them is how they recycle graphics, and usually give riders one shape. Think I remember hearing Tom lament about his decks only coming in 8 or 8.25, not 8.5.
Meanwhile other companies slap pros names on a wide range of shapes/sizes with unique graphics.

I wasn't aware this dude still had a career. Is he even gonna be in the Olympics? US roster looking pretty stacked already.

Which given Golden Goose has an IPO valuation of 1.3B is seemingly the smart thing to do if you're going to make "skate style" shoes.
-
the name sounds like a chemical they use to make meth or something
takes way too long to say
these guys failed branding 101

Not an Olympic signing then. I wonder what value that brand sees in him? Is he big on socials?
-
I give them like two years and maybe one skate specific model

He tried to follow in Astas YouTube footsteps but looks like he kinda gave up. Probably underestimated how much work it would take and overestimated how much money he’d make. Still, when you’re already a pro skater it should be a layup to get subs and views. I don’t imagine he’s that busy doing anything for Santa Cruz
-
Maurio rips though, so it’s not like it’s a bad choice. Nobody on p448 is insanely popular. Maybe whoever is running the program has a plan.
-
Good for him if he gets well paid, that pair looks ok.
I'm starting to see p448 shoes around my upper class office, it's basically the same people that wore Veja, Autry and Golden goose.
I guess their intention is just make the brand cooler with their team...

Holy shit these are firmly "who gives a fuck view numbers". Tons of random ass civilian YouTube skaters are higher.
