Fuck i was just thinking that, maybe it was part of the deal for getting him on, he got to ruin it with his music. . . .
-
I just posted how it worked for TimTim's part. I think it had to do with it being short.
-
Im hoping they redo it for the official release
-
Why was it so loud? You could barely hear the skating.

i no
-
i didn't think the music was bad, or bad enough for its own topic atleast.
-
Muskaa didn't do the music it was a group called Odd Nasum, and i thought it was pretty good. Would you rather hear another soundtrack with some more 50cent and some groups name "THE _______s"
-
the correct answer would be yes
-
the correct answer would be yes
agreed.
-
Music was decent except in a couple parts.
It seems people are bitching more for one of two reasons:
1) They don't have hip songs that are recognizable
2) Everyone needs to find something to complain about cuz then they look way radder in the eyes' of their peers ::)
With the price skate companies have to pay for music licenses, doesn't it make sense to just pay for your own "original" music?
-
way rather this than most everything in the last element vid. and no not muska
-
music is personal choice, I thought it worked well.
-
i liked the music, it reminds me a bit habitat section in photosynthesis
music was made by odd nosdam specially for element video
www.anticon.com
-
"THE _______s"
That could be a band name.

it's fucking element, they can pay for music licenses
you're going against your number 2 rule.
now please shoot yourself
music sucked but atleast they one upped menikmati for using instrumentals and beats.
-
I still cant comprehend how element has this many threads on the slap boards.
-
Really stoked on the video but not so much the music. I think one or two instrumentals in a video is fine, but I just felt like I was sitting in a waiting room or standing in an elevator watching the video as a whole. And the music was way too loud compared to the skating...maybe they were trying to rip off "the end" with shitty instrumentals and no skating noise.
-
it was more monotonous than first and hope's
-
The skating was good... I agree that the music was lacking.
I think the music was chosen less to go with the skater's style, but more to provide a nice soundtrack for shoppers at fine element retail outlets (where this video will surely be looping all day)
-
The music was less than great, but I would rather have boring music than terrible voiceovers.

What's wrong with you? "now please shoot yourself" You've got issues.
For the record, I didn't say anything about "rules," I said my own personal opinion
fuckwat and no I didn't go against it. If you don't agree with it don't fucking attack me...that's
not a fucking cool way to interact.
-
In addition, with all the bitching that goes on here about
seeing/hearing the same shit in pretty much every video
,johnny tightpants, indie rock or whatever,
I'd expect people to be stoked that a company is taking a
different approach. Who cares if it's Element? They put out a sick
video.
But yeah, why would people be interested in actually going into something with
an open mind.
Everyone's a hypocrite.
-
i never really thought music mattered in videos... as long as it isn't sluggos in rds...
-

"backstreets back oh yeah!" Music in the first RDS was the worst ever...didn't hurt the video.
I actually think I enjoyed the element vid more because of the music they used. I could just
watch the act of great skateboarding and not the act of an "image." Something I thought was great.
-
i didnt even care. the skating made me happy
-
the music made the whole parts sooo shit.
-
no it didn't.
-
no it didn't.
-
it wasn't that bad
stop whining
and like someone already said: who cares if it's element? It's a good vid
-
The music was less than great, but I would rather have boring music than terrible voiceovers.
yeah, rather bad music than bad skating
-
that s what element is about... they re trying to appeal to as many people as possible, not doing the skaters personalities justice- kind of bad for the riders but more dollar bills on the other hand.
besides i ve jet to enjoy a lee dupond video- that guy s a duche...

I don't get it.....
It's always "too much image too much image" or as you cleverly rephrashed it, "personalities." Now there's not enough "personality (image)"
fuck everything.
-
All the music in the video I've heard so far seems to be guitar samples over a slow drawn out break, and it just drones on and on. The music adds no excitement or appeal to the skateboarding, which is what the best skate soundtracks tend to do.
At least the Habitat soundtrack was actually good.
-
it made all the tricks more boring, ESP in tony taves part which i was planning to hate on anyway
-
Who gives a crap? Sounds like a bunch of ballhangin film critics. Every thread, is who did this, or what music is playing, or what they are wearing. WTF. Is this the gossip place of skateboarding or what. Stop analyzing everything, and just go skate.
-
just go skate.
-
Out of the two parts I've seen thus far, I have to say that the music didn't add or detract from the part. It was just kinda there.
-
I prefer to listen to my own music when I watch skate vids, anyway.
But, I'm down for Anticon, so it was cool to see the Odd Nosdam did the music.
-
i'd rather it be bad skating then bad music because if there was bad skating, i wouldnt have to watch the video involving the horible music

Ping pong ping pong ping pong *silence* ping pong ping pong ping pong *silence* ping pong ping pong ping pong
Is what TT's music sounds like to me. Very stuck in my head.
-
yea it pretty much sucked
-
WORST music in a video ever..........Tim Tim's part is sooooo good....but the music just ruins it. im not a fan of muting parts and playing different music, but it's required on this one.
again.....Tim Tim's part is sooooooooooooooooooo good
-
its like the old Es video. when i was working at the skateshop i re ordered it a couple months ago. the skating was mind blowing but i got in trouble for falling asleep. The shit is so boring. The element video is great just they need to re do the soundtrack otherwise it will be forgotten
-
haha just watched the vid. the footage is good but the music is just horrendous! i mean its like they couldnt get the license for any music so at last minute they just payed muska to make up a loada shitty beats!
Billabong is a publicly traded company, their fiscal year ends like tomorrow, so they can't go throwing $ away at music, got to squeeze every last penny out of element to keep those stock holders happy
-
skateboarding-peaking
skateboard industry-the lowest it's ever been, and doesn't look like it's comming back
-
for real, element has the money to use beatles for the whole damn thing if they wanted to
-
i dont think the music ruined the video
i actually liked darrells music it fits his part really well
i shut off mike barkers part after like 10 seconds that music was fuckin horrible
the others parts i dont quite remember the music
