thats a good idea. also, maybe we could do like a fourduos type montage every couple months. designate one person to edit the footage. use people's screen names instead of their real names on the final video.

This sounds like it could work. We would need to designate one person as editor. And that said editor, will receive massive amounts of footage from every yahoo on this board. Splice some shit together and voila! Monthly Slap montage!
Seriously though, there would need to be a post minimum or something. Or maybe a poll every month where everyone chooses who they want to see footy of. We make a deadline and we're done.

atleast this way, people will choose carefully what they want to use instead of trying to submit a full part or some crazy shit.

I'd still be down to edit. I think montages will work better. Maybe put together 2-3 miniute ones monthly ? and it so much easier to send footage on a DVD-R so you don't have to capture it and I just got a 1TB EHD so I definently got some hd space.

Right. Someone needs to draft up a little proposal here. With requirements and due dates and shit...
But first, we need to decide on who can be involved. Is it by post count? Join date? Voted on by the people, etc, etc...

its hard to make it without looking like etlist assholes but oh well. i think people should send in footage, a list of the people who sent footage in are posted, we decide which ones should and shouldnt, based on if we have even heard their username or not. post count is a bad idea because of spam and weeding through everyone by who has been here longer would be even harder.

if remEMBer wants to use it, he can contact that person and ask for his user name.
this will keep things fair and unbiased cause if we submit footage with our user names, he could simply dismiss footage because he doesn't like you and not because he doesn't like your skating.
if you make it a public vote it'll simply be a popularity contest, nothing more.
real name, contact info(email or phone#) and thats that. this will ensure a good video with alot of different styles, lots of different tricks with no show of favortism, elitism, etc.

it'll end up being a video full of slap pals, pros who chill here and people hes boys with. i'm not saying remEMBer is a bad guy but thats what i think will end up happening whether he means to or not.

I'll keep and open mind on it. it should be fun and not too serious.In past I've been know to be too critical on shit/clips.videos and I've learn to chill on it and I'm just down to do it for the fun of it. But I do suggest you film something your really hyped on. don't send a clip that your not fully proud of, but it doesn't have to be "hammer time" just solid/fun clips

It could be easy though too. When you send in your footy, (2-3 tricks / 1-2 lines) along with your username, you let him know what "section" you would be a part of as well.

you can use www.yousendit.com which is a free ftp delivery system if its under 1gb (i think),or you can always instant message the footage to people, all you need is a mac screennname or an aol one and be in an active chat with the person your sending it to, than drop it in the box and hit enter.

I've been around since slap started, and couldn't give a fuck about post count. The fact that I have no idea who you are, should by default disqualify you from having any involvement in this video. But I'm not really worried about that, because there have been about two of these threads for every board there's been on slap, and nothing has ever come from them. It's a novel idea at first, but if you put in even the slightest amount of thought into it, you'll see how it's really a horrible idea.
Like I said: "Why the fuck would anyone want to watch you fags skate?" It's a pretty reasonable question, and in the days of youtube and every kid having a video camera, you should also ask yourself this question: Is my video full of shitty skateboarders, that nobody knows or cares about, a meaningful contribution to skateboarding, or is just gonna be another reason it's at an all time level of gayness?
Who really cares about a video from a fucking messageboard, especially one this bad? Why would a pro who posts here want to give up any footage for such a silly thing, when they can use the same footage for a real vid? And without anyone interesting in the vid, again, why the fuck would anyone want to watch a bunch of random kids that post on a really shitty messageboard skate? If I want to dumb myself down, or hurt my eyes really bad, I can go to any number of skateparks and just sit and watch for a while. If I'm really feeling lazy, I can just get on youtube and watch random clips of dumbfucks like you from the comfort of my own home.

they all follow the same pattern, way over thought, no actual skating just 'planning', usually by people who are new or chose to forget how its failed before. fuck how many times has h8ter posted in this thread? that being said i do think its a good idea if it does get made, but too buko and h8ter and others have the wrong idea i think.
it should just be a short thing, few tricks each, from members who've been around, or make some sort of contribution. its not about impressing other people or showing off different kind of skating, it should just represent slap. fuck its hard to resist putting my two cents in... i call last part too by the way, thats pretty much a given though.

Well, I'm a nerd and I spend roughly 40 work hours a week here now after lurking for ages in the 'guest viewing' column.
I haven't filmed shite in over a decade and this is a good excuse to do so. I will say if I feel I look AWFUL I will not submit.
Besides, viewing posters footy will make for some good bickering when they cry about Pro's.

I've been around since slap started, and couldn't give a fuck about post count. The fact that I have no idea who you are, should by default disqualify you from having any involvement in this video. But I'm not really worried about that, because there have been about two of these threads for every board there's been on slap, and nothing has ever come from them. It's a novel idea at first, but if you put in even the slightest amount of thought into it, you'll see how it's really a horrible idea.
Like I said: "Why the fuck would anyone want to watch you fags skate?" It's a pretty reasonable question, and in the days of youtube and every kid having a video camera, you should also ask yourself this question: Is my video full of shitty skateboarders, that nobody knows or cares about, a meaningful contribution to skateboarding, or is just gonna be another reason it's at an all time level of gayness?
Who really cares about a video from a fucking messageboard, especially one this bad? Why would a pro who posts here want to give up any footage for such a silly thing, when they can use the same footage for a real vid? And without anyone interesting in the vid, again, why the fuck would anyone want to watch a bunch of random kids that post on a really shitty messageboard skate? If I want to dumb myself down, or hurt my eyes really bad, I can go to any number of skateparks and just sit and watch for a while. If I'm really feeling lazy, I can just get on youtube and watch random clips of dumbfucks like you from the comfort of my own home.
