Title: Bobby Worrest
Post by: Tobias Funke on August 30, 2007, 09:31:07 PM
I just got the new Thrasher. The Krooked ad says Bobby Worrest is pro. I don't have a scanner but he's doing a backside noseblunt on a planter.

Is it the issue with Sierra Fellers on the cover? I have a subscription, but I have not received another issue after that yet. I'm stoked if Bobby is pro, I think that he deserves it more then a lot of other dudes that have been turned pro recently, like say, Sierra Fellers for example.

I think Van deserved it first. Bobby's been ripping all year and is sick (hell, I'm watching his Get Familiar part right now), but Van's been killing it for a few years now.

Shoulda turned them both pro at the same time. They both rip and are always getting coverage. Van's on deck for sure, though.

Definitely awesome for bobby

There was this slap am article a while back the one with e guzman f/s flip over a wall. It had a van wastell interview saying he was on the verge of bring pro & him saying he was when the krooked kronicles came out.. whats up with that? i wanna see van pro
Title: Re: Bobby Worrest
Post by: applesauce on August 31, 2007, 10:59:15 AM
Vans stuff is good, but it comes out in such random bits, Worrest seems to have something in every magazine every month, ads or editorials or what have you, plus that get familiar part coming out right after the Krooked video, and the es video coming out later this year, maybe?, the kid seems to work a little harder than Van, at least that's what it seems like...

Van. Board. 8 Inch. I'm buying. In a flash.

Congrats for Bobby though, kid deserves it too. I'm sure next month we'll see a Van ad announcing he's pro too... They got on at the same time, have been killing it for the same length of time, and deserve it the same. I'm sure it will happen.

alright cool,sounds interesting.

Van Wastel says in the interview that skating in the Olympics is bad, cause the Olympics started the holocaust
(cause Hitler appropriated the Olympics in Berlin so he could legitimize the Nazis, but the Americans and other countries won, and Van thinks Hitler felt shame and that's what sparked all his anti-Semitism for other people)

further in the interview "people will get more competitive and jealous, and there would be a holocaust in skating. It would be so competitive there would be a few crazy dictators in skating. Next thing you know, you're trying tricks down at Carlsbad High and then you end up in a ditch shot in the head for trying a 360flip, It's like, when did the tre flip become such an incriminating weapon? So that's the way I feel about the Olympics and skating"

maybe its just me but I don't think he was trying to be all too serious there,  he was explaining his ideas in an interesting and humorous way......not seriously arguing his points about skateboarding in the olympics......     or,  "sarcasm is lost over the internet" type situations........its getting kind of late i should "stop posting"
