i know hipsters kind of flock towards shit that looks ugly/old, but i don't even think they would buy shoes constructed by blind, mentally challenged sweatshop workers with no arms who have been forced to rely solely on their feet and mouths to survive.
if these feet covers (i refuse to call them shoes) were boiled and spiced into an edible food, a goat that hasn't eaten anything in three months would still rather eat a rock on the ground than them.
whoever designed them must have accidentally spilled their 'independent coffee house' coffee on their computer causing the these abominations to be spewed out. i wonder if they smell like camel cigs? probably.

i dont like them, but what people have been saying on here is really harsh. i honestly doubt id notice if i saw someone skating those shoes, they look pretty much like every other shoe out there, just tweaked a little. if you want to talk about obnoxious footwear just look at supra and ice cream. this is just below average footwear, as the name suggests, not shoes that make me want to gouge out my eyes.

Some of the colorways are bad, I just think they're extremely ordinary... which isn't entirely a bad thing I guess. I could wear the white, silver or brown Ethans, as well as any of the Miguel's. I'd have to see them in person though.
I agree with everyone critical about the lack of vulcs... really strange, especially considering the high tops and the slip ons (which kind of beg for it).

I'm still so sad about this.......I had all three of his pro shoes and when I was younger, ethan was what I thought of when I thought "vans".......they are still giving boring old omar hassan pro-models and ethan has to be on beloe.......ugh...........I was really hoping for him to get on the new puma thing with scott bourne after seeing that sequence of him wearing some on the ollie to dog dodge....

supra has a dumb image but a couple of great designs - i never had a pair but there are some i wouldn't mind purchasing if they were on sale.

why should everything take time? maybe build quality or material selection...but designs? fuck no. designs are cumulative, a collection of inspirations from the designers first favourite shoes, to everything being released at the moment. a designer doesn't start from square 1. it's not a school project, it's a fucking business requiring a fair bit of capital to get the manufacturing wheels in motion in asia and shipping and distribution. this company looks like it's fucked itself from the get go. utterly clueless to the point where a kid in the street could design something more successful and creative. there is absolutely NO excuse for poor designs.

the skateboarder shoe is such a Nike rip-off that I can't help but think they where turned down by Nike so they just stole the design and went with it.
I am shocked at how boring and lame this stuff really is. I had really high hopes for this company because I like Russ Popes art, I do think Eathan Flower is just cashing in at this point.
And no Vulc at all is just stupid. Horrible color ways and just plain boring design all around. Sad

I re-looked at them and thought that they really weren't quite as bad as everybody is making it seem they are just........so utterly un-good that its amazing........too generic......its sad that austin stevens and ethan fowler have got to be on here but......who knows, maybe the shoes skate great......theres one or two that I could see myself wearing if I didn't get a nice discount on vans......its just one of those...its like "white noise" in the skate shoe industry or......I don't know...........I actually sort of hope that it takes off......

The only time I have ever seen skate shoes that look this bad were at payless, but I have actually seen better looking skate shoes (though I am sure much worse for skating) at KMART.

there's a little bitterness there cause I had the best seller for Nadia but it went out of business before I could collect any royalty
money.Ronnie was an owner. So, being that I didn't break his fucking neck I'll just settle for clowning his designs.

By the way, when I have something to give I give. During the La earthquakes who do you think was fucking up his week old Rodeo to haul shit away for the red cross? Who do you think drove out to ederly couples homes to reorganize their belongings? When I rode for deluxe I'd go down there a lot and sometimes I'd go there to just get boxes of defected wheels to give away. I'd do this even if that's my sole purpose of going there. If the wheels were gummy I'd give them another pair. I may be alot of things but a me-me-me has never been one of them.

I got a little familiar with this story, the one and only time i met corey sheppard was when he came through town probably about 4 years ago filming for the blind vid w/ weiss, he was kicking it at the shop out front having a butt and it was around the time that nadia had just gone under and he was wearing i-paths, and I asked him what was up with nadia going under and all that and all he had to say was "Fuckin' Creager..." and he walked into the shop...I asked creager this via myspace and he got all heated at me and said "HE WOULD NEVER SAY THAT THERE IS NO WAY U CAN BLAME THAT ON ME" or something to that extent, i'm glad i got multiple sides of the story sanch only confirms it.

Ronnie is a great person but maybe he just wasn't the right guy for the task. There must have been a lot of pressure on him since one would assume and side with nadia cause of his affiliation and guess that it's gonna work cause he's involved. Rumor has it he himself lost out on a lot of money to so he was also a victim himself. I think if they would have been more open to materials and multiple designers they would have had a better chance of surviving. What it ultimately comes down to is decision making and saying ok, this sample is good let's run it.
