Title: Lenoce
Post by: jesus0nvi4gra on November 20, 2007, 03:42:58 PM
The vibe I'm getting from his FF part was that is was rather lackluster.  Now couple this with his similarly lacking Baker 3 part, and the dude is seriously short on the good footage front.  The last good part had was 2G in 2001.  That's 6 years ago, what's up with the guy?

i thought his baker 3 part was good. that nollie 180 over that handrail into bank was no joke, nor was his switch heel over the fence. he had good shit in static 2 too. you need to step your game up, he doesn't.

man you really think he's lackluster? I remember when you guys talked alot of shit about his stuff in baker 3, but I always thought that part was one of the best in the video. it's dissapointed to hear he didn't have a full part in lakai, but isn't baker filming a new video?

lenoce is rad.  the whole thing with people bitching about how he needs to "step up his game" just shows how the whole beefcake rail jock mentality has ruined skating.

lenoce IS skateboarding

Nobody can be serious about the baker 3 part, I mean yeah dude had like 5-6 good tricks, but the rest was complete filler garbage, not even close to the level of his part from 4 years before.

i enjoy watching him skate, his style is really good. but yeah, there was a good bit of filler in there and i could see where people who arent into his style dont see much skating to back him up.

I thought Jeff Lenoce was always pretty sick but I haven't been feeling his recent footage that much either. On the other  hand his parts in that old World Market video with Ed Selego and his Wheels Of Fortune dealee in the 411 were so good.....but whatever...dude still rips.

What on Earth are you babbling about? Beefcake rail jocks? What do they have to do with anything? If I watch Guy's part on repeat, but fast forward Lenoce's section, does that mean I have beefcake rail jock mentality?

I can see why people aren't as stoked on him anymore...because he has been doing alot of the same tricks for years. But remember he was one of the first to nollie heal/sw heal big shit with pop and control. Great skater, but his type of skating is kinda played out now in my opinion.

I kind of like when a skater you're stoked on doesn't put out too much footage. It makes you appreciate everything you get to see from them.

His stuff in Fully Flared is super good, but its obviously not going to be talked about a lot compared to he rest of the video. A lot of the stuff you'd expect from him, I remember one nollie heel down some 3 or 4 block that was just way to perfect.

2 minutes of footage in Baker 3, a major video, when he had 4 or 5 years to film for it?  You could say quality over quantity if you want, but there was some obvious filler in there like the switch ollie over the fence from back in the day and then switch heelflip over the same fence as one of the last tricks.  Deserving of being pro for two of the biggest companies?  It's not like he's legend status like Gino, he should still be in his prime right?

P.S. I like his part in Baker 3.  Andre Nickatina kid, show me where your sister lives.

didnt adrain lopez do that too in the c1rca vid??  he did a back tail on a rail in red shoes in Its Time, and the same clip was used in the Dying to Live Intro....

Lenoce has got a really nice switch heel....

His Baker 3 part was so good, nollie heel that grass gap is no joke. I can't wait to see his new shit in Lakai.

Maybe it's not so much that he can't film a really good part.

It might be that Lakai wont allow him to have a full part for reasons of the overall video length.

And there is also the possibility of the final copy of ff having full parts from Lenoce and Welsh, but that's unlikely.
