When asked why, Germany's top officials say, "Because it is just, like, so fucking silly. Like totally dumb. Aliens, come on!"

He says the government considers Scientology not a religion but a commercial enterprise that takes advantage of vulnerable people.
During the summer, Germany initially refused to allow the producers of a movie starring Scientology member Tom Cruise as Germany's most famous anti-Hitler plotter to film at the site where the man was executed, although it did not expressly state Scientology as its reason.
fuck yeah

WTF???

I think i seen somewhere he said he wanted to eat the whole baby. Even though he was joking it was still funny hearing tom cruise talk about eating a baby. I hate that guy. But I love steve berras backside flips.

What about when he thought he was still alive, but he realized he was dead and put into a cat coma, and then that Sigur Ros song played?

I don't know about that shit but this thread got me interested so I just watched some Scientology documentary on line. What a bunch of stupid, wealthy pricks.

They should ban the Toastmasters too, they are the ones training the Scientologists how to use mind control. All cults should be banned everywhere, they are such a disruption to society. I've lost so many friends to religious cults; just zap and they are gone and so is all their assets.
-

FUCKING RIGHT!!!!
I'm so anti american lately.
I watched a news special about Norway and how the public care system over there is light years ahead of the us.
I wanna move to Norway.

i agree with this statement:

uhhh...remember when Germany banned the Jews?....just sayin
-
every "religion" is as stupid as the next. there's so many better reasons to hate people, why narrow it down to what their santa claus looks like?
skateboarding is the only reason i'm happy to be human
-
uhhh...remember when Germany banned the Jews?....just sayin
banned? 6 000 000 deaths? gas chambers? it's close to that scientology thing ...
-
i thought this was going to be about the berrics for some reason. like.. "dude lives in california, it rains once in a blue moon, yet has this huge indoor park meanwhile i'm stuck with sleet, snow and rain 300 days a year and a shitty ass park infested with bicyclists... fuck berra"
but i'm digging the scientology hate. that shit is hilarious
-
i wonder how far this whole scientologist thing will go, its very obvious that they are a cult. check xenutv on youtube, shits pretty wierd.

I'm watching the new American Pie movie right now, where they go to college. It's pretty awesome. There's a ton of noodz in there.
Weirdest part was when the guy starts making love to a plumper right at the beginning. It reminded me of when I made love to a Jewish plumper for 8 hours my first week of college. She was so big. Her nipples were as wide as a mug. Come to think of it, they looked like bologna. Anyway, the whole day after I felt so bad, so I ordered bacon with my breakfast.
Like, they looked like this when she got out of bed in the morning.

when you get into dinner plate territory its time to turn back, however bologna on pizza is really good.

today is yesterdays future

uhhh...remember when Germany banned the Jews?....just sayin
first thing i thought of and don't they still have lot's of Nazi youth running around over there? seems like they may have bigger fish to fry than wacky celebrities
-
You're comparing the genocide of a people who were established in Europe for centuries to the banning of a fucked up cult? Wow.
-
i'm not comparing the levels of persecution only the flawed reasoning behind each type of religious descrimination
eugenics was born out of the same kind of stupidity that is driving this current type of religious persecution and it's undeniably a dangerous way of thinking
and really, how would you talk about germany being involved in religious persecution without talking about the Nazi's and the mistakes they made
-
eugenics was born out of the same kind of stupidity that is driving this current type of religious persecution and it's undeniably a dangerous way of thinking
Why did you use eugenics as an example here? Just curious since it's origins are certainly not in Germany.
and really, how would you talk about germany being involved in religious persecution without talking about the Nazi's and the mistakes they made
If you're using the Nazis just to spice up the argument then fine, but if you're being serious then you might consider the fact that the Nazis haven't been in power for about 60 years and it's unlikely that the current government will go down that road.
-
eugenics is the kind of thinking that the Nazi's and the US were both exploring around the time of WWII and using as justifications for persecuting people. i didn't mean to imply that it was a Nazi idea, only that it was a basis for a lot of their arguments for persecution.
the reason i brought it up is because even though i think eugenics is crap, it's still got more coherent thought behind it than the justification behind the current line of religious persecution (that scientology is somehow more ridiculous than other religions) and the fact that this current line of weaker reasoning for religious persecution is getting traction in Germany seems a bit alarming to me.
-
The problem in Germany is that Scientology isn't registered as a denomination but rather a commercial enterprise. As long as that's the case the government can persecute. Also, apparently their dealings aren't transparent, one more cause for government's concern.
-
they believe in a religion invented by a science fiction writer
nuff said
-
at least they know who wrote it
ever try and ask a christian who edited the bible? never goes well
-
theres too many reasons not to be believe in the bible, but lets not even get into that
-
didnt germany actually uncover and prosecute attempts by scientology to infiltrate various mechanism of the state? finance ministry, tax services, police forces, etc. they did the same thing in the USA in order to attack their enemies and arrange so that they would be treated (ie: taxed) like a relgion rather than an enterprise... and eventually the IRS caved in

haven't all religions had their share of scandals? i definitely think that scientology needs to be put in check but banning\outlawing scientology just seems like a bad idea.
