I've seen the preview. I still want to see it. Looks pretty good to me. I've been waiting for it to get released on video since it didn't seem like anyone was gonna pick it up, it's been like two some years since it first premiered at film festivals.

This movie is by far the best I´ve seen in a looong while. Great story, sick soundtrack and amazing photography. I´m going to buy the book tomorrow to clear up some details that supposedly weren´t that emphasized in the movie.

they filmed a lot in PA on an abandoned highway. from the pictures i've seen on set it looks dead on to what i imagined it. i didn't see vicky cristina, but it is a different type of movie.

Yea I saw the photos from the set as well and it looks almost exactly what I had thought too, and its gonna be awesome too see everything so barren and grey, mixed in with the music, I dont see how I cant not like it, I think I just jumped the gun on Vicky Crisitina, they are diffetrent movies and it wasnt that Vicky Cristina looked all that bad but there were moments that stuck out as looking regular, nevertheless im hyped for this movie
Im also looking forward to the new transformers, mainly for a nice stoned movie theatre experience and some spruced Megan Fox

ive always liked sam rockwell, he plays the scum bag real well, this seems almost like a cast-away type movie where one actor tried to carry the whole film, but this for sure looks interesting

I remember Serenity being pretty good, but I think that was more on account of it having some clever dialogue than actually being a good sci-fi movie. I'm wracking my brain, but the only list of decent space sci-fi I can think of is obvious, and also ends with Sunshine.

Deakins didnt shoot this, nor was it scored by either artist, the only thing that was drawing me to it was Bret Easton Ellis because I really like the American Psycho novel

I read the book at least 3 times about 2 or 3 years ago, and I loved it. johnny depp is the only actor who can play hunter. although I heard they cut out the character of yeamon. kinda sucks.

As big, dumb summer “entertainments” go, they don’t get much bigger or much dumber than “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.”
The briefly amusing mash-up/crunch-up of a couple of summers back has been recycled into an epic two and a half hours of explosions, ponderous cartoon history, veiled racism and inept geography.
Is it the worst movie of the summer? Possibly. Will everybody see it? Probably.
“Revenge of the Fallen” means that the robots that supposedly were terminated in “Transformers” have back their “spark,” led by “The Fallen.” They have big plans for this planet that they first discovered thousands of years ago. It’s up to Optimus Prime, the Autobots and their human allies to stop them.
Only the government doesn’t trust our beloved Camaros that convert into killer robots. They’re convinced the ’bots are the magnet that draws the evil Decepticons to Earth for their little brawls. The military men just shake their heads at this civilian foolishness.
“We’ve shed blood, sweat and precious metals together!”
Meanwhile, the idiotically named Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf, not touching that one) is off to college, where he’s pursued by alien co-eds and rescued by the comically attractive Mikaela (Megan Fox). Sam is connected to these transforming beasties by his past and an imprint on his brain.
As with the last “Transformers” movie, the early scenes work best. LaBeouf does a great motor-mouthed patter as Sam hallucinates visions of alien hieroglyphics and maps, annoying his astronomy professor (Rainn Wilson, funny in his one scene) and frightening his player/entrepreneur roomie (Ramon Rodriguez).
At some point, the funny patter and goofy-mom (Julie White, fearlessly foolish) moments end and it’s all about the metal on metal as we circle the globe, sink an aircraft carrier and trash a pyramid or two in an effort to fend off human extinction.
Director Michael Bay decided he liked the laughs of the first 40 minutes of the first “Transformers” movie, so he pushed more laughs into this one – parents-eating-hash-brownie jokes, robots-humping-Fox’s leg jokes, robots trash talking, cursing and acting very street.
Two of them have gold teeth, profess to be illiterate and speak a version of “jive” that must date back to “Starsky & Hutch.”
Bay came all the way to America from Britain, built a career on “Bad Boys” movies, just to put robots in blackface?
But here’s where “2.0” is better than the original. The GM cars are cooler. The effects are sharper, higher-definition. None of that blur of chrome and steel that made the first film’s fights so tedious.

A movie by the director of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and Twelve Monkeys starring Tom Waits as the The Devil. FUCK YES!!! I am so excited to see this movie.
And obviously Where The Wild Things Are. Cause it comes out Friday. Pretty stoked. I want this movie to do well, but I am definitely not the type to wait in a huge line. Might have to wait till it dies out a bit.
