sweaty feet be dammed those SLB mids were my favorites back then also.
-
Sad to hear.
That front blunt across and down at the Ladner or Delta park or whatever was so clean.
-

The front blunt back 180 is one of the 20shot sequences in the beginning of the video. It's my favourite Vancouver clip of all time. Definitely remember Sam as a skinny little teen in a megadeath who would do blunt to 50-50 on the vert ramp, he grew into a force....I wish there was more minramp footage of him because it was nuts, big shifty to fakies, and neck high back disasters and the first guy I saw to do a big backside noseblunt, dive bomber style.

Always a shame when a fellow skater dies too young. Did he live his life in Vancouver? I haven't heard anything about in many years.

I'm a northern Ontario native...I visited Vancouver for the first time in the mid-90s. I was hoping for a Sam Devlin encounter and I received it! I went to a contest in Port Coquitlam...Sammy was there...killing it! Witnessing him skating was a highlight of that trip. R.I.P. Mega!

One of the skaters to represent Vancouver the hardest.

I was just thinking about how much I hate getting older the other day, RIP.

Cool clip. A very Canadian place to have obstacles in a hockey rink, eh!

Nope.
The only obstacles I recall are a couple of big quarters and a launch ramp next to a scrap yard car. But it was in a hockey arena!

Same! I bought Goat on cassette after seeing Sam's Trilogy part. Devlin was like an all terrain Joey Bast.
-
rest easy, condolences to his loved ones.
