Title: FP Footwear: scam practices and horrific customer service + actual fraud

On April 11, 2025, I placed an order using two coupon codes that clearly showed “Pay Now: $67.48” at checkout. However, once the payment was processed, the confirmation page reflected $88.72 — an amount I never agreed to.

I recreated the order page in the screenshot above. It lets you add multiple coupons and then proceeds with charging your account a different amount than shown on the "pay now" button.

I immediately emailed them at 9:41 AM to cancel the order since the amount had changed and I didn't wish to purchase them for the new amount that I never agreed to. They responded at 11:37 AM, acknowledging that only one coupon code could be applied and the order was on hold, giving me the option to cancel. I confirmed the cancellation at 11:45 AM, and by April 12 at 9:48 AM, they claimed the order had been successfully canceled.

Despite this, on April 14 my card was charged the full, incorrect amount and on April 16 I got notice that they my order had shipped they shipped. They had 4-5 days to handle the cancellation and still shipped it on April 16.

I emailed again asking for cancellation or how to proceed with refund. Instead, they ignored multiple emails, and I was unable to reach anyone by any other means. Finally they replied offering me 30% off a future purchase—a completely ridiculous resolution for a fraudulent charge that I never agreed to in the first place.

Finally they accepted that I could return the insoles or refuse delivery. I wasn't home when the item was delivered to my mailbox so I began trying to reach them for the return procedure. They refused to provide a return label and said I could just mail them back myself. I asked, would they be reimbursing me for the postage? Of course not, but they were happy to once again offer 30% off a future order.

FP Footwear continues to deny a full refund, despite having confirmed the cancellation before my card was charged and before it shipped and having 4-5 days to stop the shipment.

Their checkout system is deceptive, their customer service is non-existent, and they knowingly charged me after confirming cancellation.

I found out I can still refuse delivery by bringing the package to the post office and refusing it there. And I've initiated a chargeback with my bank.

Buyer beware, their customer service and sales tactics are apocalyptic. Dealing with their agents has been a nightmare.

SUMMARY:
I clicked “Pay Now” for $67.48, but the confirmation showed $88.72—an amount I never agreed to. I immediately requested cancellation, which they confirmed the next day. Yet, 4 days later, they charged my card and shipped the item anyway. They ignored repeated emails, then offered only 30% off a future purchase.

Sorry that happened to you, but your bank should cover you, just annoying to deal with I know. I talked a homie out of FP the other day and told him to either look up Artilage on Ali exp or just get something like Superfeet or remind.

FP = MAGA business. It’s a shame as the insoles are kinda good but fuck them. Not surprised they are committing fraud and their website is an abomination. You used to be able to find them off brand on alibaba for cheap but trump added his brilliance to that so the value is lost.

I’ve had a similar experiences They co-owned or at least distributed crupie. Sent the wrong wheels. Didn’t respond to emails. Didn’t ship replacements. Offered a discount code. Never sent it.

They were the right size, but wrong shape. I had no interest in riding them.

Crupie were bad wheels anyway

How do you know FP is maga? If true fuck them. I remember neen Williams posted a “Joe Rogan” burger which irked me ever since that sellout put trump and Elon on his show.

You are very justified in filing a chargeback here (dispute with your credit card company.) They are not legally allowed to charge for more than the advertised price. Additionally, in the US, a company that offers a "Satisfaction Guarantee" is legally obligated to obide by it.

Every time you file a chargeback, the vendor has to pay a fee, usually like $25-35, even if they win the dispute. When I've been in similar situations I'll mention something like "I'd like to resolve this before I get my credit card company involved" and they will do the right thing because they don't want to pay that fee and if they get too many chargebags their credit card processor will fire them or raise their rates. If they don't, dispute the charge and enjoy your free insoles. Just make sure to keep your eye on your mailbox because you will receive a letter asking for additional evidence after you file the dispute.

I just took a look at the FP site, and besides being horrendous, they also appear to offer scam "shipping insurance" that is automatically added to your cart. Shipping insurance in general is kind of a scam, but there are some companies (Route is one) that actually provide insurance for your package on top of the insurance that comes from the carrier. They (usually) pay out if your package is damaged or lost. Like an extended warranty or protection plan, it's usually not worth it, but you are buying something. What Footprint sells doesn't appear to be attached to any third party insurance company, so you're just paying them extra to offer what already comes with the shipment (an assurance that the shipment will get to you). This is a relatively common eCommerce scam to increase order value without providing anything in exchange.

I got reverse scammed when I ordered from them.

They sent me what I ordered and then a few days later, I got another package with the same order so I'm pretty happy about getting the extras and this was before I heard about any of their shadiness so it's good I won't have to order from them again in a long time. Gotta say they are the best insoles I ever bought too.

Other than the ones that come in my shoes and boots like Nike, Adidas, Etnies/Emerica, Vans, Burton, 32, the only other insoles I’ve purchased separately were not skate marketed stuff because I didn’t know there were at the time. Dr. Schols or some shit like that.

Buddy, Lizard People is David Icke, and pre-dates MAGA by at least a decade.

Icke has been kicking that shit around since at least the early 2000’s. Right wingers never come up with anything original.

My bad, I guess MAGA aligned or something like that would have been the correct terminology. Didn't mean to give MAGA any credit.

FP insoles have gone completely downhill. Wore their insoles from the inception but their newer batches are a completely different formula to what they used to use. I switched to Remind insoles. The new ones they’re releasing work well enough.
