Good for him. That company hasn't been even close to being as cool as the sorcery 118 days. Just a wack collabo company now. With nora, the wackest of all

can welcome still afford pros? seems like the collabs really backfired on them, just browsed through their webstore and they only sold out of one or two pieces from each collection. they're paying out the ass to license harry potter shirts that no one asked for

Yes this has been a thing for a couple of years already. I’ve spotted many kids wearing Slipknot or Korn hoodies so that collabo makes perfect sense.
Edit: To be honest if you’ve been paying attention to skate edits by the younger generation this should be pretty obvious.

Oh for sure. No dis towards Ryan here but guys like him who’re just kinda floating around might do better to go back to school or pursue a normal career before they’re 40 so we don’t end up with so many dinosaurs in the industry. Would probably be a net positive.

I’ve skated with Ryan a couple of times, he’s a really good dude and is super friendly. I liked his welcome shape a lot. Pretty mind blowing to watch him in person, skates fast, pops everything super high, really consistent.

Saw him at the courthouse event today and he was riding a jacuzzi board.

Title: Re: Ryan Townley of Welcome

nobody else is selling "resin 7" boards because it probably was a trademarked name that dwindle owned. you can look up the woodshop thread in shoes & gear, pretty much everything DSM is those "resin 7" boards, it just means 7 plies with epoxy resin glue, that's like the standard DSM made board, dwindle just made it sound tech. i skated resin 7 shop decks. if jacuzzi/opera have cool unique shapes then those might be exclusive to them, but i wouldn't know because i don't care about either brand really.

It seems there are some brands using the same wood than Jacuzzi.
“PALACE、EVISEN、TIGHTBOOTH、JACUZZI など高品質な有名ブランドと同じプレスです。” that means DSM high quality boards are pressed in the same factory like those brands.

last Townley part was years ago, what "recently ABD" supposed to mean.

Sorry if that was worded confusingly. In his OJ Wheels part, he skated to a song that Daniel Dent had used in an incredibly popular independent video called “with the apple” just three years prior. In that same part, he did a gap to manual that Nik Stain also already did, except he touched his front wheels. He even went back to re-film it for Instagram after being called out.

I feel like some of the better boards I’ve seen recently have been from jacuzzi like that dilo earthbound graphic, as a whole I don’t think the image is concise but there are gems there.
