I think he’s one of the most impressive skaters out right now (and that’s saying a lot). From that lens, feels like he deserves better than Birdhouse, not to mention a pro board reveal midday at his new boss’ shitty chicken restaurant (idk if it’s shitty to be fair). That being said, I don’t know the whole of it. If he’s a good human off the board and he’s happy, I’m happy for him.

Because the alternative is, he already knew about this and it's no surprise and just an ad for the burger spot.

I think he deserves better than birdhouse. But atleast he’s on something. I thought he would end up on baker/deathwish or even krooked.
But maybe birdhouse is cultivating a team that is more active. Roman and Greyson seem to drop edits often. Aside from jaws and Lizzie and dloy idk who else is on birdhouse but those 3 don’t drop a lot of footy although that d loy part was pretty good and left me wanting him to drop edits more often

Being a pro for Birdhouse must be a pretty stable place to be so good for Roman. I hoped he would’ve landed on something more interesting but maybe Birdhouse is seriously trying to steer the brand into the right track.
Now they need a filmmaker who actually has a vision and not just rely on Chris Gregson and single parts on Thrasher. Only if backyard vertramps still existed.

That was awkward. 3 people clapped and one guy said “Yeah Roman”. Tony said “It’s an honor, a pleasure” and then just nothing.
I don’t think too much about the pro board surprise as it’s really only been a thing for about a decade, but if you’re gonna do it, maybe put a little thought and effort into it? Roman didn’t even seem to care. Go watch WKND turn Nikolai pro. That’s the bar. It was actually memorable.

I have in general no idea about brother relationships…
But if my brother woud skate - and I woud be obliviously the better brother - and my brother woud be on anti hero - and I woud become pro for Birdhouse - I woud be kind of depressed and would call the fairness of life into question.

Well deserved. Incredible skater. They turned him pro at UMA, and I’d been wondering for a long time where he would end up. Antihero would have been a good fit too… but Birdhouse doesn’t sound bad for him either.

Why not. He is good and a ATV. He fits the brand. I don't know, but I like the board. It reminds me of the orange willy santos pro board.

I think the majority of those people are contest “pros”. Not really trying to market them. Half of them are marketable.

Birdhouse seems to have phases. Feasters era, the end was legendary, Saturdays crew was good, specifically raybourn and seems like we are on the cusp of a great era.

His career has been a lot longer than Roman's so he's had more time to build a following. He was also on one the of vice seasons of KOTR which probably sent a lot of traffic his way
