I’m writing this since I have off and on sciatic nerve pain (usually from long drives) but this time it seems like it’s affecting my left knee with sharp pains and weakness. I’m hoping someone has had a similar problem and found out ways to fix this issue. Much appreciated

Strength training. Usually it's not any serious nerve dysfunction. For me specifically slow Jefferson curls, Romanian Deadlifts, and deep single legged squats were movements that helped it a lot. I would get it every single season I would ride my road bike a ton and after 5 years of bike fits, acupuncture, even chiropractor shit I finally saw a decent PT that is also a strength coach for a professional cycling team. Those dudes have a shit ton of hip, knee, and back issues so I figured he'd know what's up.
For me it was a lack of strength in my glutes that caused my lower back to "take over", which put pressure on the nerve. I tried deep stretching and yoga, which made it far worse to where I couldn't bend over to tie my shoes. Dropped all the voodoo and felt better and better each week and was pain free by week 8. He's a kook but Knees Over Toes gives similar advice but has a lot of kinda esoteric fluff movements I didn't find useful.

You probably already know this but ditch the back pocket wallet.
I had a brief bout with sciatic nerve pain, it only affected my lower back.
Bought a ridge wallet and rested up for a few weeks and thankfully that was enough in my case.

So I have a lower back injury and sciatica in both legs. Long drives I get drop foot which is sketchy but any ways through the VA because I’m a veteran I go to physical therapy and see a chiropractor. I refuse surgery of any sort but since I’ve been doing it I haven’t had any issues and my skateboarding had greatly improved because of it. Stretching and loosening up to prevent the muscles from becoming so tight and making it worse also helps. Strength training also helps to strengthen the muscles around the injury so there’s more support and relief off the nerves depending on the injury. Biggest thing is don’t let it go I did for 10 years and I’m mad at myself for not going sooner.
