Kid is nuts. That vheel gap at like 1:15 was so clean. Kinda funny he’s skating to a hipster song that was popular when he was barely even alive.

Wow. Disorder is the perfect sponsor for this kid. Good clean style and I like his trick selection. I also like his J-Kwon trick.

Back smith the punisher is wild

He had some glimmers of good trick vocab too - back smith to front tail was neat, front blunt bigspin out mid ledge, etc

He’ll be a monster at 21 or so

I feel like the feet together for back smiths comes from the kids doing feebles on big rails early. So many of these young dudes seem to treat those tricks the same where their back smiths look like really dipped front feebles and vice versa. It’s fascinating having come up in the more on top of the rail feeble era.

Giant back smith like nothing, Kid will be one of the new Foy, Nyjah and Silvas probably.

Monster is less cringe than redbull cause they dont require their riders to wear monster hat in every clip.

TBH his entire steez changed when he stopped riding for FP Footwear... he dropped the mohawk helmet and put on some dunks/shelltoes and baggys... Good for him, he is really starting to get his own style, on and off the board, wish the youngster nothing but the best!

Does it count as DIY spot since the original guys seem to have left it there whereas Berra’s spots were there just for his session

good points, it also seems they cut the rail, in the insta vid it is longer...at least no one put a bike lock on it...

is that actually the same rail? the one julian does doesnt look as steep. I just figured it was the same idea and it didnt line up as well. I didnt look into it too much though, i just thought it would be odd for someone to cut it off there randomly for the sake of making the trick a little harder or whatever but maybe they did. Rails that are longer than 20 feet are just amazing and i wish there were more random shin height 40 foot+ round rails on slight inclines in our ecosystem

The rail was cut by K Walsh after he did his trick on it, and didn't want anyone to hit the rail afterwards (which seems to be his moto- hit a spot and destroy it). Not realizing that simply grinding it with gaping the end would automatically up the trick... Same thing happened on the triple kink at end of the video. Walsh went up to try and cut the up leg after failed attempt, making the rail almost impossible to land onto .lol. Then he posted the photo of himself on the rail, like he landed the rail. Yet to date no footy of the land. Meanwhile the spot is instant-bust. new car dealership took over and put cars everywhere..  ;D ;D ;D

Feels like a bunch of these spots are old af but I haven't seen them in a while or at all frequently. Love that.

The bs blunt that skinny set with the corridor like landing, the kickflip back lip the car park rail set and the ender rail.
That's that fucking mountain Duffel slammed then made the fs 5050 on in That's Life unless I'm much mistaken.
Kinda says a lot that he's back smithing a rail Duffel skated in the early 2000s and it's an ender worthy trick.

Great part overall even if I'm not the biggest fan of his style, the way he sits on those rail smiths with feet so close together is impressive as hell. And that quad kink 5050 was hectic.

that's Ben Gilley's rail sir (first clip below), was already ABD by him in a line (Blackout was 2003) by the time Corey did it in That's Life (2004) as a single.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cg_jAm1w0m4

the other rail (believe it's a 14) that Gilley hits at the end of that line is very popular and has been destroyed over the years by Figgy, Miles Silvas, etc.

@Mandatory Reload.. He front smithed it, Julian back smithed it... NBD

reading comprehension not strong

OP mentioned Corey Duffel skating it (the 21 rail Julian back smiths in this part). Corey Duffel 50-50'd it in That's Life (2004) as a single trick, Ben Gilley 50-50'd it in a line to open his part in Blackout the year before (2003), that's the ABD I'm referencing. Gilley didn't front smith the 21, he front smithed the 14 further down in the same line after he does the 50 down the 21.

or you're thinking of Shane Cross, who did front smith the 21. either way, Julian's back smith is NBD as far as I'm aware

In my experience they’re easier down a rail than holding one on a flatbar, but I mostly just do em on ledges lol

Well remembered. I guess I just always remembered the Duffel slam then make moreso.
This makes the point even more impressive imo; a relatively simple grind trick on a rail skated in the very early 2000s by two skaters known for insane rails.
