Title: NYC Spot help...
Post by: tapir_farmer on February 12, 2009, 08:40:11 AM
I know theres a million spots here, but I just moved to NYC for school and was wondering if any locals knew of mess around spots and shit. I know you get kicked out a lot around here, but I live in Park Slope area, 7th Ave in Brooklyn. I take the train to The city a lot and have skated classic, good spots, but just get kicked out. Anyone know of any school benches or maybe even a skate park I can get to easily so I don't have to travel far to skate everyday? Thanks.

Dont wanna sound cliche, but just cruise around the Slope. Theres some very decent spots ALL around that area. You just gotta find'em.

AND if youre near Red Hook, thats the place to be. Again, just cruise.

For a skatepark in Manhattan, just hit up the Chinatown park. Its under the Manhattan Bridge.

you can also go to homage skate shop (151 smith st by bergen) and there should be some kids there that could probably help you find some stuff near you.

yea homage has a box that you can drag to the park (carroll park, i think) that's right down the street.  shouldn't take too long to skate...

i've never found anything much around red hook. crown heights and bed stuy are my faves for finding weird shit to skate
