Title: Real Skateboards
Post by: Twig88 on July 10, 2009, 10:31:09 AM
Just snapped my board and need to choose a new deck. Living in the UK i have mostly ridden Blueprint, Landscape, Heroin and the odd euro boards. I just had an 8.0x32 Jart board which i didn't like much, it felt a bit soggy. Anyway, to the point, having never skated a DLX board in 7 years of skating I finally have the money to try one out.
Pretty sure I am going 8 inch but chosing between the R1 and Rebound constructions from Real. Which do you guys who have ridden them think is the better shape. Obviously i'll look at both but I am interested in any experiences.
Choices are: Real Dompierre: 8.06x32 (rebound), Real Por Vida 8.02x? (R1)

Personally I like all of Real (& Deluxe's) shapes on 8"+ decks. I'm sorely biased towards Deluxe though, so I'm probably not helping much.

Either way, you'll wind up with some well crafted wood.

I got the 8.06 Dompierre and it feels good, rolled my ankle though so time will tell.

the pro model blueprint boards are the same wood as deluxe boards and the team boards are girl wood im pretty sure. if thats the case im guessing you've had pro model blueprint boards, so you'd just be getting a different shape with a deluxe board.

I've only been riding DLX wood since 2001. Best shit out there, and I've ridden pretty much everything. Most recently I got the trujillo boob alert... fucking amazing! Can't go wrong. I think its like 8.125. I got a crisp 8.5 anti-hero awaiting after that.
