there's some deal in place where if there's a space in time where we don't have a particular ad set to rotate into one of the ad spaces on the site that the slot is basically put up for auction during the interlude and whatever company bids the most for it gets it- i haven't seen the ad in question but it could be one of those short-term situations. but in the current economy, every dollar counts. we don't have huge investors backing us. you might see some crap, but just ignore it. as far as SLAP with no ads being better than SLAP w/ads, you gotta understand that we're giving away all of our content now- there's nothing really for sale, you get it all for free, and so the ads keep the whole deal funded. they are necessary to have this place happening.

my computer is slow enough already that in itself is a fail. but 90% of my posts are when i am at work though and most of the ads are blocked anyway whcih is nice.
