This clip was posted in the photo/video section. Everybody obviously loved it, and a lot of people commented about how there is something wrong with anybody who doesn't like him.
But do those people even exist?
I obviously expect most people to like Daewon, but I am curious if anybody will actually vote that they don't like him. It seems impossible, even to trolls like Child of the Ghetto or FuckGinoandpops to speak ill of him.

If you bring it up in threads like this, someone is bound to hate, even if they don't mean it. You'd have to be pretty stupid to not appreciate his skating. I mean it's not stuff I watch to get hyped.. but that's just because he's too good.

sure, you gotta have a room for the trolling in the margin for error. I doubt anybody legitimately votes that they dislike him and has an actual explanation though.

i think hes legitimately the only unhatable skater, he keeps putting out new shit that blows minds and I can't really say that about other skaters from his era or very many after. and he bridges the gap, you don't need to know any details to appreciate what he does, anyone can just look at his stuff and go, "fuck, thats sick"

Actually....I am really curious what COTG thinks of this stuff. I don't think he is a fan of manuals and really has a narrow view on which skating is good. But still....how can you hate on this?!

I've always wanted to see someone redo tricks from their old parts. I'm so glad Daewon did it, and better for the most part. He is absolutely fucking crazy. That song had a climactic feel to it, as if saying, "This man will never be matched or surpassed. He is the end of skateboarding." I'm feeling really dramatic today, I'm going to have a beer and cool down.

His skating is amazing but instead of getting me stoked to skate it makes me feel like shit.
But I still enjoy watching him skate.

I <3 Daewon. That dude has been killing it for 20+ years and when I met him back in 97-98, he was the nicest dude. People are entitled to their opinions, but I am entitled to tell you to fuck off if you don't like Daewon.

Every fucking trick he does is an ender. Every time I wach one of his parts for at least up to the third time I'm giggling because of how ridiculously insane his shit is... and it's all done on a board I wouldn't even be able to stand on without busting my ass. I'm stoked that skateboarding has him.

most of that was just mess around footage. the filmer was probably just filming him as he tried better tricks out of the switch crook.

It would be a legitimate criticism if Daewon had a limited trick selection. But at this point, it's moreso that switch crook flip out tricks are what Daewon was fucking around with when this footage was filmed. If I were to use the "skating is art" argument, I'd say it's like a capturing an artist an a phase.

i liked him alot in love child/new world order...then during the rodney/dae won stage i got kinda sick of LA school yards...the DVS part really got me back into him....
