dunno about anyone else but i am pretty excited about this
especially the Dressen Stick em up slick re-issue!

I'd like to try one. My stepdads friend skated in the 90s and gave me a Beer City slick that still had pop and no chips. It also had some trackers and nude eels on it. Those were in terrible shape though. It sure as hell is a better concept than random mid ply filler like cork and fiberglass.

I would put that Dressen straight on the wall

Yeah I i'll get one of these before a p2 for sure.

The slicks from the 80's and 90's were terrible. Soft pop because the contact on olllies and nollies was the slick layer.
These new ones... it looks like the slick sheet is framed by wood so so soft pop. Still gimmicky as fuck though. Targetting little kids and beginners.
-
slicks skated horribly... But id love to see aws reissue thier slicks... Those graphics were so sick. Anyone remember the sheets of plastic you could buy to make your normal wood deck a slick?

They reissued old graphics as a part of their 20th anniversary

not those... the early 90s ones.

Never felt everslick, those boards had no pop, and they were heavy.
-
I liked slicks for not having to wax everything but hated the spongy pop and heaviness... seems like these sort out the pop issue but I wonder how heavy they are?
-
the nhs distrobution is in my town, i think i will go down and see if the have them in
-
Rad, well if you pick one up let us know how it skates... if it's positive I may be tempted to give one a whirl myself
-
One of my homies gave me an angel boy slick. It was probably one of the best boards i ever had.
-
COtg, NOW youre just trolling...

They made stick on rails made out of the same stuff, too... fun shit. Now that YatzCo guy makes it... along with wax in an aerosol can. BRILLIANT
-
wax in an aerosol can.
nothing new. shits been available for ages. it's called laquer.

correct me if i am wrong grim, but marketing laquer as wax in an aerosal can is the brilliance. marketing based, not invention based
-
nah, the stuff grims talking about is some sort of aerosol paraffin stuff. i was making a joke. although i wouldn't be suprised to one day see a can of SALBA BRAND COPING SAUCE on the shelves at a barney shop.
