...if the working class skater can drop 50 bucks on a pair of pants.  freddy is sick, domestics is sick, but 50 is a little much for me.

Thats all I ever hear around this place, people bitching about money.
Is it really that big of a deal?

when i gotta pay for gas and food, 50 bucks is a lot for a pair of pants, compared to 15 over at walmart or something.

and nobody else does? were all spoiled little brats with no jobs and mommy and daddy front the bills?
It's called supporting something you believe in. Is money really that valuable that you cant spend a little extra on something you want to support?
Thats all I ever hear.
"So and so is super sick and I love that company they ride for, but ill just spend 30 bucks and get this shitty blank deck and blank tee instead of supporting them because I'm a fucking spinless faggot that would rather bitch about everything"

I stopped buying skate cloths years ago because they always fell apart. I would like to support skateboarding clothing companies, but at the same time I can go to the thrift store and get 5 pairs of pants for that much. And in my life money has to go a long way, if someone has the extra 50 bucks support them.

Joe D. runs the co. with Freddy, I dont know if they still are but at one point all the clothes were made in the US and top-quality hence the $50.00 pants...they got a store in carteret, nj too if you're ever around there, check it out...renaud is on the team too..

$50's not the cheapest, but I've seen Matix "premium" denim retail at $75 I think. At least the stuff is made in the U.S. like vanilladutch said, that's a rare thing these days.

edit: the Wal-Mart comparison is totally invalid. Wrangler jeans might cost a 1/4 of what these cost, but they're also moving way larger numbers than Domestics so they can afford to.

i picked up a pair of domestics pants for $50.  so worth it.  i've had extra money latley to get some new clothes because i stopped eating food out, saves a ton of money considering i was busting atleast $15 a day between lunch and dinner.

same here, the shop i go to carries the sickest satori chordaroys(sorry for the slaughtered spelling) for $60.  picked those up too.  for me a nice pair of pants is worth it.  anyway, about the matix thing.  my favorite pair of pants ever were a pair of black marc johnson signature pants i got back in '03 and wore them until late '05 when they ripped at the crouch with a pretty big hole.  other than that, no matix pants have caught my attention at the shop.

yeah back to you guys being queer about the whole not spending 50 on pants thing.  i know it's cool to support the real skate companies and all that shit, it's just a pain in the ass when i have to try and cut down on food just to get a new deck.  if i somehow come upon a nice paycheck in the weeks to come, i wouldn't mind spending it on a pair of these pants.  i'm just sayin' i can't outfit my wardrobe with more than like a single pair.  fred rips, it's all good.  i'll see if the dudes at nj can hook it up.

That is very kind of you!  My mother's family is buried on the hill just north of Nenana, AK.  My father's is in Faukton, SD.  Last I checked there really isn't much room in Nenena, and it is restriced to those with my mothers maiden name.  I may just choose to be buried wherever I live at the time.  But in lieu of fancy pants the family of the William would prefer a dish for the potluck following the service.
