right now all the proceeds from OPEN boards are going to the redcross for Japan relief efforts. we have a lot of friends over there. so thats what we are doing. the boards are 50$ witch includes shipping. and 100% of the 50$ is going to the red cross.

yeap the 50$ includes shipping to anywhere. ignore the "usa only" in the shop right now.
i mark packages as "gifts" when going international. so you shouldn't have to pay any custom fees.

good to see this. props on what you are doing.

we over here at satori are working on a relief wheel too. our japanese distributor sent this over today:

Konnichiwa !

It is worst situation in japan.

Now nuclear station using MOX (plutonium) has been broken.

Japan is the sample of how worlds nuclear risk there are.

Our government and energy company never tell truth.

They keep saying it is safe.

Usa embassy in Tokyo moved to west of japan, french gov left japan (they say)

They know how dangerous plutonium is. Tell your friends on what happening in japan and keep eye on it.

WE MUST stop nuclear energy in the world for our kids and all lives of nature.

Worlds is not for human but for all lives

Hiro

Be positive and now we all japanese have to live with plutonium pollution

And We will find a way to live.

Hah. Jesus what you riding, the mega?

I downgraded to a 7.9 and it changed my life.

And pandarelated, get those Japan ones if you want to support a good cause but we do have a wider version of the Aero coming this Summer called the Torus. Aeros are too skinny for me too but a lot of people like em.

Haven't ridden a 8" in years but do let me know when the Japan Relief Boards are ready for pre-order.  Already riding a 7.875 so what's another 1/8th inch or so right?

Good work!  Proceeds are going to the US Red Cross or Japanese Red Cross?  Just wondering.

You probably already know the site but I saw this one to donate directly to the Japanese Red Cross:

japanese red cross.

this effort has greatly depeleted our stock of boards for the team. so we will be making new team boards. and the japan board.
we had a summer line up ready but with this japan business it's all out the door.
we'll i want to contribute as much as i can (and yes. Open is basicly me and a friend)..
once we get the japan board settled.. that will be the only board where the proceeds go to japan.
we're losing our shirts on the current drive. witch i'm down with. for an extended effort we're going to have to move to a practical system.
i hate money, and i hate that has to be the case.. but how many 0's can one spend?

we're into the 2nd stage of getting the graphic for the board sorted. i'll be good. and gonna try to screen some t's this weekend.
i'll update on stuff as it shows up. thanks again to all the slap pal.. slap mag.. autobahn, everyone. we've raised way more then i ever expected!!!!

ill on that lowcard shiz.
we're gonna be talking to the woodshop this week about japan boards.. once i have some kinda ETA.. ill post all the info on that.
it's been crazy here. as a more or less one person company we've sold most of our stock.. (what you guys don't like 7.75s!) so even the team dont have shit. and i'm still doing the math. it was regular nice this weekend in nyc for a chance or i mean friday and saturday. so i skate slacked and skated.. suppose to rain and  maybe snow all week.. sux.. anywhos.. will post with updates as soon as i even an idea of when it will happen.

but yeah.. also hit up autobahn. tribute, real (real vid hype!!!) check in satori.. lowcard now. i'm sure there is more.

I received a notice from customs today that they didn't think the board is worth only $5. We'll see if I have to pay taxes on it, but because of the valuable and mighty Euro Dollar, it should still be worth it.

semi bump..
northen japan got hit with some more nasty earthquakes and tsunami's the other day. and are having to evacuate more areas.
so we still have our relief board available for pre order. we're trying to get them made as fast as possible but as a small company.. we're lower in the pecking order at the wood shops.

http://openskateboards.bigcartel.com/product/japan-relief (http://openskateboards.bigcartel.com/product/japan-relief)

the first 20 or so board are going to have top RED stained plys.. problems with the black stains at the plant. but once its sorted well be getting them done in black,

thanks!!

sick.. been mailing boards like crazy.
unfortunately the situation in northern japan is worse then before. ends up the reactor more or less melted down.. withing hours of the earthquake. leaving a situation worse then Chernobyle. but in a country not really with lots of space.. so.. japan will feel the effects of this.. well for as long as any of us are going to live. bummer case for sure.

Debating whether to grip it up right away or save it to ride when I'm in Japan later this year.

Well, I could always get another one right?
