After reading through some threads, it's obvious that some of you are into board graphics. Would you rock a sick board with shit graphics? Or how about the other way around?
I'm just curious. I like graphics, but most of the time when I'm looking at boards, I'm standing on it and checking out what the shape is like.
-
use the search option you fucking person. and your hair/nick isnt funny anymore and neither are aviator glasses
-
I'm sensing some anger issues.
-
graphics are cool, but it's all in the board. i've bought a board for it's shape and spraypainted it up.
-
I kind of want the whole series of those FLIP boards that had the gnarly devils and demons on them. The ones that looked straight off a Cannibal Corpse cover or something.
But I don't give a fuck about a graphic. Blank, graphic, whatever. It's the shape.
-
am i the only one who just buys the cheapest 7 ply maple i can find? aside from walmart decks of course.
-
as many heartagrams and element trees as possible please
-
stop making accounts jared
-
haha really
-
shape of board deffinately... and the weight. some boards can just feel disgusting.
the graphics dont matter a whole lot, as once you skate it... its gone.
unless you like the fiberglass bottom decks from back when. haha.
-
graphics don't bother me, but i've been known to pass up a deck if it has a yellow or hot pink top stain. just bothers me. that and wheel graphics.
-
i like graphics, they get me psyched to skate because they're cool to look at, like deck art, but its secondary to the shape and quality.
-
i havent cared about graphics in years
but the only one thats caught my eye lately is janoski's liam deck
thats just cute.
i might purchase it for donnie murdo or something
-
shape/size is always my #1 concern. concave and steepness of the nose is 2nd.
I like good graphics but it's not that important.

Size, shape, concave, and the woodshop that pressed it are all that matters to me. Graphics matter not at all to me, they are gone in a session or two any way. I do have a Janoski Liam deck still in the plastic though, my girl bought it for me for my birthday because I liked the graphic so much, I won't be skating that one.
-
it doesnt really make a difference at all, sometimes ill buy a board strictly because i like the graphic, but if its got a shit picture ill still get it, it really makes no differene
-
graphics dont mean shit.
They are scrathed off in a week anyways.
-
I only care for my bowl board since I started using rails again. Street board=graphics gone in a session or two.

I bought a Gerwer board on Saturday. The graphic caught my eye, but if weren't for the DLX shape/concave I would never have bought it...
-
back when graphics meant something (ie old world 101 blind era shit)

is it the frank out graphic? that one is too sick
-
Actually, this was an older board, with the airplane emergency instructions.

i agree...this era was my favorite, along with the girl/chocolate decks during the "mouse" era.
especially the o.g. girl graphics, and the chocolate "ink-blot" series.
those graphics remind me of when i first got really into skateboarding..
with a few exceptions, most current graphics are pretty meaningless.
