In line with the opening off the new Berrics park, Berra has offically been kicked off Scientology and has just signed a contract with Jesus to skate for Christianity.
In a recent interview Berra said:
"I just wasn't feeling like I was fitting in on Scientology, I mean yeah everyone on the team was as fucked up as me, but I had gotten to a point where I felt like I needed to be taken more seriously... I mean you only need to look on certain internet forums to see just how much of a wack job people think I really am... In a way I kind of empathized with what Jim Greco has gone through... I just wanted to kick the heavy stuff and take up smoking or something... Get back to being "normal", well thats what it felt like to me anyway. ST just wasn't mainstream enough to promote me in a way that I feel I deserved to be... Christianity is opening up a whole new realm Of possibilities for me and with the Team and backing they have got I feel so stoked to be a part of it, I mean it's like a dream come true to be skating for Jesus alongside all the other fruit cakes."

Scientology isn't the reason Berra is looked at as a wackjob...it's what he says and how he acts that make him look like that.

It's more than just rep. Jesus is an awesome TM, whereas L. Ron Hubbard is a dick who treats his riders like shit. I think it's a good move.

I have this interesting theory that if Berra wanted to choose a respectable religion amongst skaters especially in slap, it would have to be the church of 420, rastafarianism or similar.
